 ~ Elder Jae-Young Im (Daegu Manmin Church)
I run an orchard in Gyeongsangnam-do in southeastern Korea. The orchard is seated on the back of a mountain and is thus isolated from the society and not visited by many people.
A few years ago, I purchased a large satellite dish in town because I wanted to watch Christian television from home. I installed it but the programming came on sporadically and in the end, I wasn't able to watch anything.
Then beginning in January 2007, one of the channels was coming on very clearly. It was none other than the Global Christian Network ("GCN"; Dr. Jaerock Lee, Chairman). Even though I was an elder and had been attending church for two decades, Dr. Jaerock Lee's series "Spirit, Soul, and Body," "Levels of Goodness," and "The Measure of Faith" were refreshing messages I had never heard before.
I installed the proper GCN satellite dish and began watching the channel regularly. Soon afterwards, I began to wish that I, too, lived a life full of testimonies, like members at Manmin Central Church. After learning about Muan Manmin Church and the Muan Sweet Water (Exodus 15:25) there, I went there and brought home some, and when I drank only the Sweet Water while fasting, I realized that fasting was much easier.
One day, I was driving a field cultivator towards the orchard on an unpaved road. The front-end of the cultivator tipped over and when I made an abrupt turn to avoid the fall, I heard a snap on my waist and soon realized that I had sprained it. The subsequent pain was so severe that I could not move freely. As I was over 70 years of age, I did not think I could recover from it. I somehow managed to get home and received the Senior Pastor's prayer on GCN. At that very moment, the pain went away and I could move my waist freely. Hallelujah!
After that incident, I visited Daegu Manmin Church (Rev. Jong-Mi Kim) in July of this year. It takes an hour and a half by car each way but as I enjoy listening to the messages, I receive overflowing blessings.
God's blessings for me, however, did not end here. As I began watching GCN, I played the messages on GCN to apple trees in my orchard and the amount of fruit they bore this year has doubled. Apples that have been nurtured by God's Word are bigger in size, brighter in hue, without blemish, and are very sweet, and thus have been sold at a very high price on the market.
GCN has brought about a tremendous change in my life. Through messages proclaimed by Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee, I now see the clear path to heaven and am full of hope for New Jerusalem. For all that, giving me a joy in life in Christ I have never experienced before, and guiding me to a life abounding in blessings, I give all thanks and glory to the living God!
