We are Dae-Hong Yoon and Shil-Mae Sung of Jilin City, China, parents of Sung-Lae who was brought back from the dead by the prayer of Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee during the Second Morning Service on November 18, 2007.
Born on November 11, Sung-Lae was in torment beginning two days after he was born, throwing up and crying uncontrollably.
An examination at the hospital on November 16 revealed that Sung-Lae was suffering from hydrocephalus and pneumonitis and that his upper and lower intestines were attached together. It was an emergency and we moved him to a larger and more renowned hospital. Yet, the seven-hour trip was too much for Sung-Lae to bear.
Nevertheless, we placed the handkerchief on which Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12) in Sung-Lae's clothes and embarked on the journey. Then Sung-Lae, who could not stay still for more than 10 minutes, came to sleep peacefully throughout the trip.
When we arrived at the hospital, the doctor warned us that we would have to prepare for the worst if Sung-Lae was to undergo an operation in his present condition, the worst would happen to him.
'My goodness... Sung-Lae has to have another surgery on top of hydrocephalus, pneumonitis, and attached intestines??'
We felt so sorry for Sung-Lae. To make matters worse, a closer examination was not be available until November 19 as the specialist was out of town on business. We hoped and hoped that all this was just a passing dream but it was a reality we could not avoid.
 We began fasting and repenting right away and believed that the only way to save Sung-Lae was to receive prayer from the Senior Pastor.
We had already experienced the Senior Pastor's manifestations of God's power in God's grace. We joined Manmin Central Church in 1999. My father Deacon Dongsoo Yoon collapsed from cerebral infarction, but when Dr. Jaerock Lee prayed on his picture we had sent, my father was healed. My mother Deaconess Soonja Lee suffered from gastric ulcer and schizophrenia for 27 years and attempted suicide three times, but was completely healed of all her diseases through the prayer of Dr. Jaerock Lee on her picture.
There was one thing that struck us as we repented on account of Sung-Lae's sickness. We discovered how numb our faith had become even after witnessing such manifestations of God's power in which the seawater of Muan transformed into sweet, potable water (Exodus 15:25), and God brought back so many from the dead, drove away toxic gas, and steered the course of typhoons. We always confessed our love for God, the Lord, and the shepherd but we began to examine whether it was true love. We sent our prayer requests and a photograph of Sung-Lae to Manmin Central Church in Seoul, and during the Second Morning Service on November 18, and we received the Senior Pastor's prayer from the pulpit by faith.
Then a miraculous thing took place the very next day. A pre-operation examination revealed that the diagnosis for hydrocephalus had been in error, that Sung-Lae's intestines appeared normal, and that there were no traces of pneumonitis. Hallelujah!
Sung-Lae began drinking water and today, he digests milk well and is growing in good health.
We give all thanks and glory to God and would also like to express our earnest gratitude to the Senior Pastor for his prayer. We also thank all Manmin members for joining us in prayer. We vow to live each day with diligence here in China with a deep desire for New Jerusalem.
