The fiery works of the Holy Spirit once again brought forth strong currents of healing and transformation of the heart to Manmin Central Church, when it held "The Special Divine Healing Meeting" during the Friday All-night Service that began on the night of May 30, 2008, for those who suffered from a variety of illnesses.
Taking place in the second half of Friday All-night Services (from 11 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Saturday morning) at Manmin on the last Friday of each month are "divine healing meetings" during which the congregation can receive Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer for the sick. This May, however, Dr. Jaerock Lee had planned to pray individually for each of the sick during a "special divine healing meeting."
Participants included the sick not only from Korea but also those from various countries in Africa, France, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Japan who registered on the Internet and in sum, there were about 1,700 patients suffering from more than 500 different types of diseases. On the day of the Meeting, more than 170 people testified to God's healing of their diseases and the testimonies have been flooding the Church by way of personal visits, telephone calls, letters, and many more.
Proceedings from the Meeting were relayed to the rest of the world via the Global Christian Network (GCN) and on the Internet.
 
Boisterous Works of the Holy Spirit
From the scene of God's answers and healing
Manmin Central Church is a place where a newcomer may initially enter its doors as a patient but ends up becoming a worker of the Lord of robust health, as the messages of life and visible works of God's healing breathe into them faith and hope. Thus, not too many at Manmin are stricken by diseases.
Nonetheless, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee became disheartened whenever he saw those who were born deaf-mute or who have been confined to wheelchairs for their entire lives because of grave illnesses. For this reason, Dr. Lee pledged during a sermon message that he would pray individually for the sick during the monthly divine healing meeting at the end of May, and the Church did not publicize the event. Upon hearing the news of this special occasion, however, hundreds of patients from Manmin branch churches, other churches, and even abroad filled Manmin Central Church on that last Friday in May 2008.
Special Divine Healing Meeting: Scorching works of the Holy Spirit
In the afternoon of Friday, May 30, the Main Sanctuary at Manmin Central Church was crowded with people waiting impatiently for the kickoff of the Meeting. Those who were unable to enter the Main Sanctuary, many of whom were relying on wheelchairs and canes, packed the Second and Third Sanctuaries. Registering from 3 to 10 p.m. were about 1,700 patients suffering from more than 500 types of diseases of neurological, respiratory, endocrine, digestive, circulatory, orthopedic, and dermatological in nature, and illnesses pertaining to obstetrics and gynecology.
A meeting held by Manmin Prayer Center (Mrs. Boknim Lee, President), a prelude to the Special Divine Healing Meeting, offered the participants a time to examine their faith and lives in Christ and rend their heart in repentance.

During the first half of the Friday All-night Service, Dr. Jaerock Lee proclaimed a message titled "Faith" (Mark 9:23). It served as a crash course to plant seeds of faith in the hearts of the patients in a short amount of time. Following the first part of the Service, a video featuring the testimonies of who have received God's healing through Dr. Lee's prayer was put on display, which was followed by a time of repentance, praise to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and prayer in unison. Clapping of the hands during prayer that night reflected the earnest desire of the patients to receive God's answers and healing.
After he prayed for the sick from the pulpit, Dr. Lee came down to the floor of the Main Sanctuary and prayed for each of the sick. About 1,700 patients packed the front portion of the Sanctuary to receive his prayer, and a session of his prayer for the sick took place with lightning speed and ended approximately at 3:40 a.m., some 20 minutes prior to the scheduled 4 a.m. finish time of the Service.
The lower stage in the Main Sanctuary filled up with about 170 people, who had become flushed up as if they were drunk with the Holy Spirit, wishing to testify to God's healing they had just received. The rest of the congregation rejoiced when those on the stage confessed to have "received the fire of the Holy Spirit," "felt cool around the wounded area," or "become convinced of my healing." Unfortunately, because of the limited time available, two-thirds of the people on the stage could not testify.
Works of the Holy Spirit continue
These are only a small portion of all of the testimonies received. Many others have since testified to having received God's healing of rhinitis, schizophrenia, herpes zoster, disturbance in circulation, empyema, osteoporosis, sequela from traffic accidents and gas poisoning, cataract, speech impediment, stroke, corneal dystrophy, pain in joints in hands and feet, disk, tinnitus, tremor of the hands, decline in metabolism, nodes in vocal cords, ophthalmoxerosis, cholelithiasis, frozen shoulder, heart disease, neurogenic gastrointestinal disorder, colon cancer, desmorrhexis, breast cancer, allergic skin disease, uterine myoma, ovarian cyst, abortus habitualis, Hepatitis A, jaundice, epilepsy, bronchial asthma, scoliosis, esophagitis, and pulmonary tuberculosis, just to name a few. Testimonies are being received to this day.
The Special Divine Healing Meeting was a scene of blessings that attested to the truthfulness of God's word, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (Hebrews 13:8).
