SEOUL, KOREA (ANS) -- Johnny Kim has an extraordinary mission as he moves around the world helping to set up huge healing festivals for Korean pastor, the Rev. Jaerock Lee.

Kim is director of missions for Manmin (the word means "all creation") International and Manmin TV network, and a messenger of the Lord around the world.
Now Kim, who joined the Manmin ministry in 1993, has agreed to share about the 24th anniversary of the Manmin Joong-ang Church this weekend and also the first anniversary of the Global Christian Network (GCN).
"The Manmin church was established by the Reverend Dr. Jaerock Lee in 1982 with just thirteen members that included nine adults and four children," he said in Seoul during the celebrations. "He then had a budget of just $7 USD. "It began out of nothing and now Dr. Lee, after he obeying the word of God in everyday life, is serving more than 100,000 people in Korea and has fostered 4,600 branch churches around the world.

"Manmin TV began on January 1st 2000, is an arm of the Manmin ministry. It is using the digital revolution era to convey the Gospel of Jesus Christ with efficiency and effectiveness by using cutting edge technology."
Kim was also deeply involved in the launch of the Global Christian Network (GCN) in New York in 2005.
"GCN is headed by Nestor Colombo from offices just outside Atlanta, and is in a strategic alliance with lots of different kinds of television companies, mostly evangelical, to work together for the synergy to broadcast the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Since I've known Johnny Kim, he has organized some extraordinary outreaches to some rather dangerous places for Christian public ministry such as Pakistan, India (where the local government tried to shut down the crusade,) and Honduras where scores of troops were sent in to protect Dr. Lee and his team after death threats.
"Even though some of these places could be considered dangerous, we think that the more important thing is how to obey the will of God," said Johnny Kim. "From the first day of Christian life, Dr. Lee has tried his best to obey the will of God. Regarding the world mission, he believes it is the mission of believers to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.So, we have a burden and a responsibility to accomplish this great commission.
"We didn't know at first why God mentioned a specific country like Pakistan, which is an Islamic republic and India, a Hindu country, and Honduras.But, later we found out that God has a very specific plan to preach the Gospel according to His plan in all of these places.
So Dr. Lee just obeyed the will of God in the specific places or countries we visited. Because we obeyed, God Almighty took care of us, no matter the circumstances.God protected us when we prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, and we had wonderful experiences and successful crusades in many different lands. We give Him all the glory and honor and thanks."
Kim then talked about the recent New York city healing outreach at Madison Square Garden on July 27, 28.
"New York is very important because many people say that New York is the capital of the world and the capital of the United States even though Washington is the political capital," he said. "There are so many people living there from such different ethnic backgrounds.With so many things concentrated in New York, when things happen the impact is huge.
"We believe that God wants to console the people in New York who experienced the tragedy of September 11, 2001, and that God also wants the people in New York and entire United States of America to be awakened spiritually. So we obeyed, and God blessed us to have a crusade in Madison square Garden, the most famous arena in the world.
"It was broadcast live to more than 200 countries through many satellites and different TV networks, including Day Star,Global Christian Network and many others.Many people were touched by the life giving message of Jesus Christ, andmany people were healed.Numerous people experienced the manifestation of the power of the living God. We have lots of wonderful testimonies.
"It was great to experience how God Almighty planned and accomplished His will through the New York crusade. So many people came and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. They gave thanks to God the Father for His love in giving us His begotten Son to save us from sin.

"According to Dr. Ricardo Reyes, the chairman of organizing committee, on the first night there were around 14,000 gathered together.The second night, 15,000 were present, 20,000 were gathered for the last night of the crusade.
"The first night started with prayer for the different multi-ethnic groups. Dr. Mikhail Morgulis, the chairman of Slavic Committee of the crusade, led in the Russian language.Dr. Frank Wright, president of NRB, expressed appreciation forthe activity of Manmin TV (an NRB member); He then asked Dr. Lee to pray for the next election so that God-fearing men and women would be elected.
"Harvey Thomas CBE, the chairman of the Federation of European Broadcasters (FEB) greeted the congregation the second night saying 'We are different, but as children of God we need to be united in Christ Jesus.' After attending the crusade, Mr. Thomas said, 'I've never heard such a biblical message like Dr. Lee's and the performance of Manmin ministry is so fantastic and holy. I believe it would be acceptable to any other culture.'
"David Weisman, the vice president of Peru attended the last night and said, 'May God bless the people in the city of New York just as He did for us, the Peruvians, through Dr. Lee's crusade in 2004.'
"Dr. Ricardo Reyes said, 'So many pastors who attended the crusade came to understand the spiritual principle of the revival of the church through the message"
"New York State Senator Ruben Diaz proclaimed the recognition of Dr. Lee's ministry on behalf of the State of New York."
Now, this weekend, Christian media leaders from many countries of the world have been gathering in Seoul to help Manmin celebrate their 24th anniversary and GCN their first with a series of special meetings and TV programming.
