Secretary Gollapalli Israel of Janodayam Social Education in Chennai, India, attended the Sunday Morning Service at Manmin Central Church on Sunday, March 14, 2010. Janodayam (which means "those who rise up for revolution") is a state-run social welfare center, and in recognition of its work for the improvement of human rights and education support for the Dalit or the "untouchables" (the lowest of social classes in India), received this year's "Tji Hak-soon Justice and Peace Award" from the Tji Haksoon Justice & Peace Foundtion on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Visiting Korea to receive the award, Secretary Israel had attended "The 2002 India Miracle Healing Prayer Festival with Dr. Jaerock Lee" and become initially interested in Manmin's ministry. He had been abreast of news from Manmin through his nephew City Bav, who attends Chennai Manmin Church and come to attend a service at Manmin Central Church. Following the service, Secretary Israel spoke with Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee and received Dr. Lee's prayer for symptoms of slight paralysis in his right arm.
