Suncheon Manmin Church Offered its Founding Service

Suncheon Manmin Church was founded as the 40th domestic branch church of Manmin Central Church, and its founding service was offered to God on May 4. Pastor Hyungryul Park (Kwangju Manmin Church) presided the service, Pastor Seungpyo Kang (Jeonju Manmin Church) took the representative prayer, Senior Deaconess Jinhee Kim sang a special song, and Pastor Miyoung Lee delivered the message titled with "Faith" based on Hebrews 11:1-3. At her message, she emphasized that they should change their lives by diligently listening to and act by the Word of God in order to accomplish the church of faith. Pastor Haengyoup Lee ministering to Yeosu Manmin Church handed over the members who had attended Yeosu Manmin Church from Suncheon to the newly-founded church, and sent a 15-person van to the church as the gift.

The Second Scholarship Awarding Ceremony of 2010

On May 9, the second scholarship awarding ceremony of 2010 was held with the presiding of Elder Kgyudong Lee, President of the Urim Asset Plus Insurance Inc. hosted by the Scholarship Awarding Department of the Relief Committee whose president is Pastor Soojin Lee. Scholarships are awarded to those students who are studying hard but have difficulty in finance so that they can keep on studying and show a good example of faith. Scholarships are awarded to college students twice a year and to students in elementary, middle and high school on a quarterly basis.
The number of the students who received scholarship at this second quarterly time was totaled to 131: 27 elementary school students, 36 middle school students, and 68 high school students. Since the founding of the church, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee has awarded scholarship to those students who had difficulty in keeping on studying for financial reasons, and has recently increased the relief ministry for those members who have been leading a faithful Chrisitna life but have financial problems.
