Explosive work of God's power; Whirlwind of the Holy Spirit gathers 700,000 in Kinshasa
Festival held on "Triumph Boulevard 1997" in Kinshasa, DR Congo
President Kabila Invites to Speak with Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee
Prior to the kickoff of the Festival, on the morning of February 16 President Joseph Kabila of the Democratic Republic of the Congo invited Speaker Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee and his entourage to the presidential residence for a warm and pleasant dialogue. President Kabila expressed his gratitude to Rev. Dr. Lee for having come for the blessing of DR Congo and vowed his support for the success of the Festival. The President also asked Rev. Dr. Lee's prayer for the unity of all Congolese and the further development of his country.
Support from DR Congo's Political, Financial, and Religious Leaders
The magnitude of interest and enthusiasm the Congolese had for the Festival was easily detected by the attendance of President Kabila's twin sister Dr. Jaynet Kabila, who is currently serving as DR Congo's first lady, and his relatives, as well as Vice President H.E. Azarias Ruberwa, Madam Lylian Bemba (wife of Vice President Jean Pierre Bemba), Minister of Energy Salomon Banamoere, Minister of Defense Adolph Onosumba, former Minister of Defense Ondekana, former Attorney General Tshibwabwa Ashila Pashi, DR Congo's prominent political, financial, and religious leaders, as well as members of the National Assembly and the Senate. Also at hand were pastors and ministers from neighboring nations as well as Silvie Sassou, daughter of President Denis Sassou-Nguesso of the bordering nation of the Republic of the Congo. The guest appearance of Werrason, one of Africa's most popular singers, who is called "Ambassador of Peace," more than sufficed to attract the local media's attention.

Word of Life Based Firmly on the Bible
Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee awakened church leaders and countless other participants at the Festival with such messages filled with life as, "Why Is Jesus our only Savior?" "God the Creator," and "The Power of the Holy Spirit," and whenever the messages were proclaimed, the audience responded with shouts of joy and applause. On Rev. Dr. Lee's messages that were based entirely on the Bible, many people agreed that, "We were able to renew our understanding of God who is 'I AM WHO I AM,' almighty, the author of the Bible, and the creator of the universe, and Jesus Christ's being the Savior of mankind."
Healing of Diseases
After proclaiming the messages, Rev. Dr. Lee prayed for the sick. When the mission team investigated the cause for a loud shout that came from the audience, it was learned that a formerly blind person opened his eyes and those around him were shouting in glee. There was no end in sight of people wishing to testify to having their eyes opened, having come to speak, having stood up from their wheelchairs, and having thrown out their crutches. The biggest talk among the Congolese during the Festival was how countless people had been healed of the incurable AIDS. The testimonies from the three-day Festival were received by a team of local physicians.

Largest Crusade in DR Congo's Christian History
During and after the Festival, local church leaders magnified God, confessing, "It is unprecedented in DR Congo's Christian history for such a large number of people to have been healed only by prayer from the pulpit without laying hands on each person." Rev. Kankienza, Chairman of the Organizing Committee and President of RCC (Revival Churches of Congo), said in an interview, "The Festival allowed all Congolese to witness firsthand the wondrous work of the living God, allowed churches in DRC to come together in repentance, and breathed in a new air of evangelization throughout Africa."
This Festival was broadcast live on the state-run network RTNC of DR Congo, FCN, Almavision, and CTNI LATINOAMERICA of the United States, Canal Luz of Argentina, TBN of Russia, Holy God TV of France, JBN TV of Honduras, CNL of Kazakhstan, BETHESDA and CANAAN TV of Colombia, Asomavision, GUAYAQUIL, Asomavision QUITO of Ecuador, Cristovision of Costa Rica, and Manmin TV of Korea via satellite.
