In the support of Singapore Manmin Church ministered to by Missionary Wong Ping Ping, Urim Books participated in the 28th Singapore Book Fair held in Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center from June 5th to 10th in 2013
In the book fair, approximately 150 publishers from all over Asia exhibited books and periodicals on subjects of education, computer software, religions, and the like. Urim Books (See www.urimbooks.com) displayed and sold Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's books; 17 volumes in Chinese and 28 in English, and the books drew visitors' attention and gained fervent response.
In particular, Dr. Lee's representative book The Message of the Cross peaked visitors' interest and sold the most. The book with the message of salvation through Jesus Christ has been translated and published in 51 languages including Hebrew, Arabic, and Tamil. They have been selling not only in Christian countries but also in non-Christian countries.
In May, 1987, Urim Books was organized for the sake of souls' salvation. Beginning with the publication of Dr. Lee's testimonial memoirs Tasting Eternal Life before Death, his life-filled messages have been compiled in many books, such as The Measure of Faith; Heaven I & II; Hell; Spirit, Soul, and Body I & II; and Seven Churches through Urim Books. Additionally, Urim Books has issued collections of verbal testimonies from the church members; collections of the Christian columns that appeared in various news media; and children's and students' study books as well.
Also, they have been dedicated to releasing multilingual books and electronic books (e-books) to provide souls all over the world with spiritual bread necessary for this period related to Dr. Lee's words of life and powerful works.
Furthermore, Urim Books has promoted Dr. Lee's multilingual books by registering as an exhibitor in many distinguished book fairs such as Frankfurt Book Fair in Germany, Jerusalem International Book Fair in Israel, Book Expo America in the U.S., Beijing International Book Fair in China, and London Book Fair in the U.K.
Currently, Dr. Lee's books have been printed in a total of 245 volumes in 53 languages. They are now being published and circulated through partnership with more than 20 publishers in the U.S., Canada, Italy, Ukraine, Brazil, Taiwan, Indonesia, Egypt, India, and the Philippines.
Urim Books partook in the 19th Seoul International Book Fair, the biggest book fair in Korea that was held in COEX Convention and Exhibition Center from June 19 to 23 in 2013.
The event is held annually and is organized and managed by Korean Publishers Association. And this year's theme was "Book, Human, and Future". About 500 publishers in or from 20 other countries gathered and introduced new releases plus older but interesting books in many different genre such as children's books and books encompassing the humanities, social studies, science, culture, and other arts together with many special kinds of exhibitions.
As the 'Guest of Honor', India had the biggest scale of exhibitions and programs planned including an exhibition of books concerning the history, culture and arts of India as well as seminars for Korean and Indian publishers and publication related experts. In addition, to celebrate the 50th diplomatic tie between Canada and Korea, various events took place so that visitors could experience Canadian culture. There were many other accompanying programs such as 'Meeting with Authors', 'Academy for Humanities', 'A Pop-up Book Story' and 'Making a Story Book for Children'.
For Urim Books it was its fifth time to be a part of the book fair and this year they displayed Dr. Lee's 87 books in Korean, 245 volumes in 53 languages, and 242 volumes of e-books in 43 languages.
One side of Urim Books' booth was adorned with a picture of Dr. Jaerock Lee's India United Crusade 2002 that was held in Marina Beach, India and was attended by a total of almost three million people. The booth provided an overview of the current status of the translation and worldwide circulation of his books. Many visitors showed interest in its e-books on the hi-tech gadgets such as iPads and Kindle Fires in the booth and people were on hand to work as translators for foreign visitors.
