Israel is the birthplace of the gospel but now the Jews do not believe Jesus as the Savior. Dr. Jaerock Lee testified about God the Creator and Jesus Christ with the word of life and powerful works. Since then, the Israeli churches have grown up and borne abundant fruit.
Manmin members are familiar with the nation of Israel. It is not just because the country is where the Lord was born, but also because Israeli pastors and believers continue to send their testimonies about their renewal by Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's word of life and their experiences of God's power.
Israeli pastors have invited Rev. Soojin Lee and asked her to lead the Pastors' Seminar since 2011. They also invite Manmin's performers to their annual praise festival and our performers present great performances.
Additionally, the pastors and workers in Israel pay frequent visits to the church in Seoul during events such as the church's anniversary and Summer Retreat in order to learn the Manmin's ministry.
The connection between Manmin and Israel dates back to the church's opening. On July 25 in 1982, after the church's opening service, God told the members in detail that the church would awaken Israel with national evangelism, world mission, and the construction of Grand Sanctuary as the day of the Lord's second coming draws very near.
So, Manmin piled up immeasurable amounts of prayer for the Israeli ministry. Amazingly, on July 25, 2007 Dr. Lee led the first meeting in Nazareth where Jesus grew up.
He made twelve visits during a three-year period and by visiting Haifa, Ashdod, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Ashkelon, Beersheba, Eliot, Tel Aviv, and Nahariya he had moved about through all areas of Israel. He held 24 meetings and three Pastors' Seminars, and also conducted over ten meetings with pastors and leaders of Israel. He delivered God's love for them.
Above all, God the Creator's great work of power unfolded wherever Dr. Lee went. By his prayer, many people were healed of incurable diseases including cancer, heart disease, epilepsy, diabetes, and depression. Some were set free from drug addiction and some others received the blessing of conception. The Lord's gospel was enabled and the Holy Spirit's works were spread throughout all of Israel. Even the top officials and orthodox Jews heard about it.
The Basic Laws of Israel protect free practice of religion in the country, but a majority of citizens are Jewish. When Dr. Lee and the mission team made the first visit to Israel, there were very few openly Messianic Jews. They were intimidated by the social atmosphere. Even pastors were skeptical about their ministry and asked if their ministry in Israel was in God's will. In this situation, Dr. Lee visited many areas of Israel and encouraged them. He showed them God's powerful works and delivered God's love to them. His sincere heart moved their hearts and gave them courage. It was the way of ministry that no pastor in the world had ever envisioned.
Through Dr. Lee, Israeli pastors and believers realized the Lord's love and gained strength. They began uniting and voluntarily organized Crystal Forum (Israeli Pastors' Association). They prepared for the Israel United Crusade 2009 and invited Dr. Lee as a speaker. The crusade was held in the International Convention Center, Jerusalem, and bore amazing fruit. It was broadcast live all over the world via 22 broadcasters. Dr. Lee boldly proclaimed about why Jesus is our only Savior. Countless people in ICC and viewers kept vivid memory of his bold preaching and amazing powerful works manifested through him.
Currently, Manmin has twelve branch churches and twenty associate churches in Israel. The members have experienced many powerful works of healing and answers through the prayer of handkerchief that Dr. Lee had prayed on (Acts 19:11-12).
Furthermore, the members have spiritually grown up through Dr. Lee's sermon programs aired on CMTN, TBN Russia, CNL, Holy God TV, and Rodnoy as well as through Dr. Lee's literary ministry in books like The Message of the Cross and Awaken, Israel published in English, Russian, Hebrew, and Arabic; and through Manmin News. Crystal Forum has worked actively holding various events like Crystal Music Festival and the churches in Israel have revived.
This Israeli ministry is included in God's providence for the end time. The Holy Spirit is working even now to revitalize Israel. His endless love shows God's patience and His waiting, not just for Israel, but for all mankind.
