The 2015 Summer Bible School enabled children to feel the sky-high love of God, the love that is more spacious than the universe and deeper than the sea. From July 26 to 29 in 2015, the Children's Summer Bible School was held under the theme of "Love" (1 John 4:16). Manmin's children felt the perfect and unlimited love of God and the Lord and enjoyed themselves in the Holy Spirit's fullness.
This year as ever, the speakers who give out the Lord's fragrance came and delivered God's love to the children. In the Opening Service, Rev. Soojin Lee explained that God has been cultivating humans on this earth to gain true children. She encouraged them to understand His love and love Him.
In the morning on the second day, Pastor Dongcho Shin delivered the message and prayed together with them. He asked them to eat the Word of God that is the spiritual bread and to pray, which is spiritual breathing.
One of the important things that open children's hearts is praises. In the morning on the third day, the 8th Manmin Children's Talent Show was held. The participants offered up their love for God with praises, dance, instrumental playing, and other performances. There were ten teams participating. The Grand Prize went to the Holy Power Worship Team; Gold Prize, to Renewed Brothers with Donghwan Kim; Silver Prize, to the Pretty Team; Bronze Prize, to Hanulim; Popularity Prize, to Hope Chorus. Among the participants many had experienced God's powerful healing works manifested by Dr. Jaerock Lee. They were healed of atopic dermatitis, encephalomeningitis, or Down syndrome and grew up healthily.
In the afternoon, Rev. Heesun Lee led 'Power Jesus'. With longing for clean and beautiful hearts, the children enthusiastically praised God who gave them breath. On the fourth day, Pastor Mikyung Lee led the Holy Spirit's Fullness Prayer Meeting. The children became more filled with hope for Heaven and with thanks for the love of God who is preparing Heaven for them.
Sister Yuseon Kim, age 9, said, "I really like to join Summer Bible School every year. I especially like to praise. When I praise I come to have more longing for a clean and white heart."
In preparation for Summer Bible School, teachers offered up a full month's period of vowed prayer. The Financial Directors helped both with finance and their hearts. Many parish members volunteered to distribute meals; seminary students helped as teachers, and many Levite workers offered helping hands in many places.
On July 30, teachers had a party at Muan Sweet Water Site where the salty seawater well at Muan Manmin Church was changed into sweet water. Senior Deaconess Jungryeol Hong, age 48, Vice President of Children's Sunday School Teachers' Association stated, "We are so grateful because God has led us, through this duty as a teacher, to become sanctified, to pile up heavenly rewards, and to enter New Jerusalem."
Additionally, there were various activities including Bible Study, Experiencing the Cross, and Golden Bell Bible Quiz. They also had fun with God-sent dragonflies. Many places of the church were decorated beautifully so that children could feel heavenly happiness. To make them even happier there was also a snack bar, a 3D video "The Castle of the Shepherd" cinema, and a Heaven photo studio.
This Summer Bible School's programs were broadcast via GCN (www.gcntv.org) so people around the world could join it. The children from Gwangju, Masan, and Gumi Manmin Churches came and joined it.
