Manmin Summer Retreat 2016 was held with Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee as the speaker and leader in Deokyusan Resort in Muju, Jeonbuk Province, being broadcast live on GCN. More than 1,200 bishops, pastors, and believers joined and simultaneous interpretation service was offered for them in ten languages including English, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, French, Thai, Vietnamese, and Mongolian. They enjoyed cool and refreshing weather at the optimum temperature, though heat wave warnings continued to be issued nationwide. Experiencing the amazing wonder, they came to have more faith, hope, and love.
The Seminar Overflowing with Explosive Works and God's Glory
Sister Pangpurim, aged 44, was deaf from birth, but she came to hear in the retreat. Besides, countless people experienced explosive works of healing, gaining good eyesight and coming to walk without wheelchairs and crutches.
On the first night, Senior Pastor Dr. Lee preached the message entitled "Glory" based on Haggai 2:9. He explained the glory of God that had been revealed through His signs, wonders, and powerful works for the last 34 years. He added that if one truly repents from heart, they can destroy the wall of sins against God and be healed of incurable diseases. Then, he led Divine Healing Meeting and prayed earnestly for healing, sanctification of heart, blessing upon households, workplaces, and businesses, and family evangelism.
Through his prayer, various kinds of diseases were healed including lung cancer, laryngeal cancer, rectal cancer, diabetes, appendicitis, otosclerosis, brain lesions, hemiparalysis, and diplegia. In particular, this year, a great number of people recovered eyesight from blindness and were healed of visual impairment. Many eye-related diseases were healed such as cataract, glaucoma, and corneitis. And many people with hearing impairment or speech impediment were healed including people who were born deaf.
Athletic Meet at the Optimum Temperature Controlled through Clouds and Wind
On the second day of Manmin Summer Retreat 2016, Athletic Meet was held and the four teams—Great Grand Parishes 1, 2, and 3 and Branch Churches—competed in goodwill. There were 10 kinds of matches for 21 gold medals: Tug of War, Balloon Rolling Race, 100m Sprint, Volleyball (for Men), Mini Soccer (for Men), Long Distance Race, Korean Wrestling (for Men), Arm Wrestling, Relay Race, and the newly chosen match Badminton. This year, Great Grand Parish 3 achieved the first victory with eight gold medals, and the Cheering Award went to Great Grand Parish 1. The MVP awards went to Deacon Daesung Kim and Sister Jaeah Lee.
The Athletic Meet ran from 10 A.M. until 4 P.M. Though it was in the middle of the day, God let clouds cover the sun and cool winds blow in order for them to enjoy the event at the best weather ever. All Manmin from in and out of Korea were united in the Holy Spirit.
Camp Fire Praise and Worship in Big Explosion of Goodness and Love
On the third night, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee led the Camp Fire Praise and Worship. He urged them not to forget the grace of God who controlled the temperature with clouds and winds during the retreat and let them experience signs, wonders, and powerful works. He asked them to run earnestly towards New Jerusalem the most beautiful place in Heaven until the Lord comes back. As he led the praises, the people in attendance offered up praises with heart and became filled with the love of God.
When they watched the firework that decorated the dark sky with lights, they felt fascinated as if they were in the banquet of New Jerusalem and came to have more hope for Heaven. They engraved the endless love of God in their hearts. They came to hope all the more to become the fruit of glory through explosive spiritual growth in the third stage of take-off.
