Blessings of a Tree Firmly Planted by Streams of Water_ "The Lord's Word Is a Lamp to My Feet and a Light to My Path"
In 2017, Manmin Central Church is full of energy because the members actively read the Bible and memorize the verses to fill their hearts with the truth.
Male District Leaders' Association is reading through the Bible twice this year. And Young Adults' Mission and other missions set a goal to read the Bible once so that they can root their faith deep into the Word. In addition, they are reading Dr. Jaerock Lee's books that explain the Bible in very understandable and clear ways.
Female District Leaders', Male Sub-district Leaders', Male Cell Leaders', and Pastors' Wives' Associations' goal is to read a book per month, and Canaan Mission's is to read twenty books. Female Cell Leaders' Association is sharing the text of the theme sermons such as Love Chapter with each other so that they can powerfully pray holding the message. And Light and Salt Mission is reading the sermon text.
Additionally, in the church's Weekly Bulletin is the section 'Weekly Bible Verses' so that the members can memorize a verse a day. In particular, students memorize the verses using the smartphone application, and have a test for it in the Bible study time on Sundays. Their efforts show good examples to young adults and adult members as well.
And many missions including Second Elders' Association and Prayer Devotees' Association are running their own verse memorizing projects, and thereby they are preparing for the 17th Bible Quiz Contest with heightened anticipation.
The members are devoted not just to their own spiritual growth through the arming of the Word, but also to souls' salvation. Men's Mission started the 'Finding Lost Flock Members Project', Women's Mission is paying more attention to evangelizing people and visiting their members, and Male District Leaders' Association began Evangelism and Visitation Competition. The Male Cell Leaders' Association set a goal to grow in spirit and achieve revival through each parish's Prayer Meeting and Sanctification Study Group.
In 2017, amid the flow of whole spirit, the members are joyfully marching to achieve sincere heart in full assurance with love for the Word of God (Hebrews 10:22). Their walk will lead them to the way of blessings that all things prosper like 'a tree firmly planted by streams of water yields its fruit in its season' (related story on page 3).
