As Manmin Central Church has actively performed its ministry for the world mission, the number of visitors to the church from abroad has increased year after year. They are not only the members from its approximately 11,000 branch and associate churches but also those who had found Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermons on GCN, the Internet (YouTube), and through books and newspaper while looking for the word of life with spiritual thirst.
This year as well, to attend Manmin Summer Retreat 2017 held from August 7 to 10, about 1,100 bishops, pastors and believers from 37 countries paid a visit to Korea. Each of them has their own reasons to visit.
People Received Grace via Broadcasting and the Internet
Nine years ago, Sister Nadezhda Koval, age 48, from the USA, came across Dr. Lee's sermon on Impact TV, which is a Russian speaking Christian TV network. She was blessed through the message, got to the church's website and began listening to his sermons. Meantime, in May 2017, her son collapsed due to brain hemorrhage, but through Dr. Lee's space-and-time transcending prayer he recovered quickly. During her visit to Korea for the summer retreat, she said, "I feel like I'm at home though I have seen Manmin Church only on the screen. I am so happy to see Senior Pastor in person and join Manmin's worship services and prayer meetings (photo 1)."
Brother Salomon Uthayakumar, age 24, who is Holy God TV President Pastor Gerard Uthayakumar's son, said he had longed to visit the church. He said, "I received a lot of grace through Dr. Lee's sermons and witnessed many people healed through Dr. Lee's prayer on Holy God TV. I wanted to see the actual site of the power firsthand" (in the middle of photo 2).
In Moldova, a man learned about Dr. Lee's sermons through TBN Russia. He received so much grace and opened a church. The church now has around seventy members, and they join the worship services via GCN. This year, ten of them visited the church to attend the retreat (photo 3).
Brother Vitaliy Tabaranu, age 31, said, "When I am in Manmin Central Church full of spiritual love, I feel my heart being renewed. Manmin has everything that strengthens people whose faith is still weak. During the retreat, I witnessed a variety of diseases being healed, deaf people coming to hear, and demon-possessed people being set free. I became more fervent to become sanctified quickly and spread this precious holiness gospel to more people."
People Were Guided through the Books
In Hong Kong, there are also ten people who attend Manmin's worship services and Daniel Prayer Meeting via the satellite and the Internet. They came to Korea to attend the summer retreat (photo 4). Deaconess Yang Sun Xin, age 53, stated, "I really wanted to know God. One day, I listened to Senior Pastor's sermon series, 'The Message of the Cross' and then read his testimonial memoirs Tasting Eternal Life before Death. It was a spiritually profound message and blessing to me. I began to spread it to people around me and now I have come to Korea with them!"
Twenty-seven people came from Colombia in South America. In July 2017, a new direct flight route from Mexico to Korea opened, and the airline provided airfares at a very reasonable price. So, it took less time to come and the tickets were a lot less expensive (photo 3).
The pastors from overseas countries consistently spoke about being spiritually encouraged (read page 4). Pastor Karamat Ilyas, 37, from Pakistan stated, "Dr. Lee's messages filled my heart so fully. I also witnessed the work of the Holy Spirit including the healing of many diseases!"
Pastor R.M. Chaminda Rathnayaka, age 39, from Sri Lanka said, "Everything was so well-organized and people seemed one in the Lord. It was impressive." A Filipino pastor Lemuel Valdeavilla, 37, said, "I saw such power of God as I had never seen anywhere before!"
They became filled with the Holy Spirit through the visit to Manmin. It was the scene of explosive grace and power, which they had longed for. The grace is expected to be borne as fruit of renewal in their lives.
