"For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). Manmin's young adults stand out in the world for they've been taught the holiness gospel and experienced many signs, wonders, and powerful works. Let's hear the testimonies of four young people who have given out the fragrance of the Christ in their own field and are advancing for their holy goals for the glory of God.
Jaeyun Kim, California Manmin Mission Center in the U.S.
Brother Jaeyun Kim (picture #1) graduated from UCLA which is one of the best colleges in the western part of the U.S. He also earned his master's degree in the same school in 2015. While he was working as a math teacher in high school, his father, Missionary Hangryeol Kim who had ministered to California Manmin Mission Center, was dispatched to Peru Manmin Church, and the center was in need of a missionary who could fill in for him.
On December 17, 2017, he was dispatched as a layman missionary to the mission center by Manmin Central Church. In fact, he had held fast to a vision for mission work when he was a high school student. God remembered it and led him to be a missionary.
"I want to be a powerful missionary and lead many people in North America to the Lord by the holiness gospel. By doing so, I hope to repay the grace of God who allowed me to meet the shepherd of love and power and to have true faith."
Seulgi Kim, Power Worship Dance Team, Performing Arts Committee
Sister Seulgi Kim (picture #2) dreamed of glorifying God with dance when she watched the performance of Power Worship Dance Team during her school days. She moved to Seoul when she entered college in 2010 and became a member of College Mission Worship Dance Team and then the Glory Worship Dance Team. In 2015, she finally entered Power Worship Dance Team that she had dreamed of for so long.
At about this same time she was healed of tuberculosis by Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer. Since then she has devoted herself more to glorifying God through her performances. She said she feels happy when she shares the Lord's love through her dance with people who use different languages and have different cultures. "I feel great love of God when I see people shedding tears during our performances, when I see them awakened by the holiness gospel and when they experience healing works of the Holy Spirit. I hope more and more people will feel this great love of the Lord and reach the beautiful heaven."
Hanbit Lee, Lawyer in Personal Information Protection Commission
Sister Hanbit Lee (picture #3) is a lawyer. She finished the training courses at the Judicial Research & Training Institute as one of the 44th year graduates. She is now working for the Personal Information Protection Commission that serves under the office of the president.
As she was taught by Dr. Jaerock Lee to stay humble, avoid arrogance and serve others, she tried not to insist on her righteousness and endeavored to learn from others, even when something she was not comfortable with happened. Soon, people began to recognize her. She thought she didn't do something great, but her small deeds of goodness led to having a good reputation in her field. Eventually she was scouted by the commission that most people want to enter.
"I didn't drink alcohol to please others. But God guided my way in His method, not the worldly method. I hope to be a lawyer of love who can give hope to many people with the Lord-given wisdom."
Hosan Jeong, Crime Investigation Department of Gwanak Police Office
Brother Hosan Jeong (picture #4) is a police lieutenant who works for Economic Crime Team of Crime Investigation Department of Gwanak Police Office. He was awe-struck when he listened to Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's lectures on Genesis on the internet. After he received much grace from the sermons, he registered in Manmin in 2012.
He has met many different kinds of people while working, but he tried to treat them with goodness and give out the fragrance of the Christ. In 2017, he received several citations. He also works faithfully as a member of his mission in church and dedicates himself to church members' security. He said he always experiences the help of God while on duty.
"I easily arrested criminals even when the location tracking system did not work. My coworkers were amazed saying they had never experienced such a thing. I want to deliver the love of the Lord given to me for free and warm the world as a police officer."
