On January 31, 2009 the Consolation Service for North Korean Refugees and the 5th Anniversary Service for North Korean Refugees' Mission were held at main sanctuary of Manmin Central Church. Seven-hundred fifty North Korean refuges attended this event. In the first part of this event the DVD titled "The Power of God" was presented and Rev. Dongcho Shin delivered the message titled "Peace" based on John 14:27 and spread God's love to those in attendance. The second part was prepared to present various performances by the Performing Arts Committee of Manmin Central Church. The performances included the Power Worship Team, Soloist Senior Deaconess Jinhee Kwon, and the Serem Korean Traditional Music Team. The performers and Women's Mission members sang Korean traditional songs with the North Korean refugees. After having dinner together they all shared prepared presents and warm loving fellowship.
