"God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth" (John 4:24).
The theme of Manmin Summer Retreat 2017 was 'Power'. God who is spirit is goodness and love, and His goodness and love unfold in the form of the 'power'. I urge you to understand His love and goodness in which He performs amazing power.
1. There Is Nothing Impossible for God.
Jeremiah 32:27 reads, "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" Before I believed in God, I was on the verge of death due to 7-year-long battle with diseases. From head to toe, not a single part of my body was unaffected; I was called 'a disease-department-store'. But when I knelt down before God, all of the diseases were healed at once. As I began living by the Word of God, I started to receive financial blessings.
Since I met the living God, I believed every word of the Bible. For the last 44 years since I met God, I have lived by the faith that 'nothing is impossible to him who believes'. God was pleased with my faith and He has answered every single prayer of mine. When I prayed for the sick, God healed them. When I prayed for their financial problems or various difficulties, God solved them.
Again, nothing is impossible for God. At the last Summer Retreat, He showed His powerful works in a much higher dimension than ever before. The temperature was controlled as necessary, wind blew when necessary, clouds gathered when necessary, rain came when necessary and everything else was given as necessary. Everything went well for the optimal conditions in all things. When the Ten Plagues swept across the whole of Egypt, God remarkably protected the land of Goshen where the Israelites dwelled. In the same way, God showed us how much He loves Manmin and made it clear.
As science and medicine advanced, the number of the sick seems to have decreased. But, in reality the number is increasing. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Health and Welfare in April of 2016, 25.4% of the population from 18 through 74 suffers from mental illness at least once in their lives. That is a quarter of the population! In modern medicine, the cause is said to be the failure to overcome stress. But, there is a real cause for it. It is because people sinned and they became slaves to sin. Either they themselves committed a grave sin or their parents or their ancestors committed God-detestable sin, namely, that of extreme idol-worshipping.
Exodus 20:5 reads, "You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me." Some people worshiped idols to an extreme. They engraved their names on the things of Buddhist temples or performed ritualistic exorcism. From among the descendants of shaman's, the descendants have a higher percentage of congenital abnormalities and rates of mental diseases. Many alcoholics and those who commit suicide are found among them. It was because they disobeyed God, consequently God turned away from them and they fell prey to the enemy devil and Satan.
It is never easy to destroy the walls of sin built generation after generation and to be released from the curses. It is because they had already been handed over to the devil according to justice, so to bring them back to life requires an equivalent price. Even though they themselves or their family repented once or twice, and although they faithfully serve as volunteers, they cannot receive answers easily. A family with a mentally ill member usually has little love between the family members.
Mark 7 shows the Syrophoenician woman received the solution of her daughter's demon-possession because she had firm trust in Jesus and was exceedingly humble. Now sins and evil are much more rampant and darkness is much stronger than in Jesus' time. For those wretched people God allowed for His only begotten Son, Jesus, to be flogged and bleed. It was to set the believers in the Lord free form all kinds of diseases (Isaiah 53:5).
In this end time filled with sin and evil, God has given special grace to people. It is the 'power of re-creation'. The power of re-creation is given to a person when that person endures all the pains that mankind cannot endure and fills up a measure of justice. When anyone trusts and comes to such a servant of God who has built up the measure of justice, just as the Syrophoenician woman came to Jesus with faith, that person can experience the power of re-creation. It is because when the light shines, darkness goes away. When the light of the power of re-creation shines, the enemy devil and Satan go away.
When the forces of darkness go away, the person's problems are naturally resolved. Their minds are made whole and all kinds of problems in the body are resolved as well. A person who is deaf and mute due to demon-possession comes to hear and speak when demons are driven out. The paralyzed body is loosened, epilepsy is gone, and various kinds of diseases including shingles are healed. It is because God is our Healer (Exodus 15:26).
2. God Knows the Heart of People.
The latter part of 1 Samuel 16:7 says, "…for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." How do you feel when you hear that God knows your heart? Is anxiety and fear felt in your mind or, do you find warm comfort and strength in it? If you believe the judgment and disasters of God have deep meaning of goodness and love, you will find comfort and strength from the fact that God knows your heart.
Psalm 103:13-14 says, "Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. For He himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust." God created our bodies, so He knows accurately what kind of problems occurred to our body. He can clearly see the conditions of our internal organs and intestines as with the Photo-Pill-Cam or by an X-ray machine. When the ray of healing beams out, the light reaches the exact part affected by sickness and heals (Malachi 4:2).
God knows our heart in the same way that He knows our body. He knows every detail of what kind of heart each of you has. He knows the kinds of evils and sins you have to throw away to receive healing and answers. He knows which evil attribute you have most among jealousy, arrogance, hot-temper, or adulterous thoughts. He knows how your self-righteousness and self-centered frameworks have been formed and just how far each person is distanced from God's righteousness. Because He knows everything about you He helps you discover yourselves, gives you the spirit of repentance, and gives you grace and the strength to throw those things away by the Holy Spirit. This way He helps you to cultivate your heart-field quickly and accomplish sincere hearts (Ezekiel 36:26).
The original cause of mental diseases is sin. Many of such diseases come from the problem of attitude and way of thinking. Suppose you were severely shocked by something. It may directly cause you not to be able to control your mind. Then, your heart will be hurt and shattered into pieces. You will tightly lock the door of your heart to the outside. As God is spirit He knows accurately the problems of your heart and the condition of your spirit concerning the cause of your disease. And the Holy Spirit who dwells in you searches the depths of God so He can heal any kind of heart (Isaiah 61:1).
Thirty-seven-year old Deaconess Eunsook Kim saw her parents arguing all the time when she grew up. Her parents eventually divorced, and she was deeply hurt in her heart. It developed into hatred and anger, and she eventually suffered from depression. She went to see a famous psychiatrist and was treated with medication, but it was useless. As the final resolution, she began looking for God. On July 28, 2013, she registered and began attending various worship services and the Daniel Prayer Meeting.
Meantime, she had a dream of removing a white-worm that was about 30 centimeters long from her forehead. From that time on her depression improved. As she continued to make bread of the word of God, the depression completely disappeared. If you have deep wounds in the heart, please depend on God who knows everything about you. Let go of the disturbance of your mind and desperately look for God's gentle touch.
3. God Wants His Children to Accomplish Whole Spirit and Dwell in Great Glory Forever.
While a daughter is away from home for days, the parents miss her and wonder how she is. Even when fully grown children leave home or get married and move out, the parents still miss and desire to see them so much!
How much more love does God, who is spirit, have for you? To His children who have faith and whom He loves, He always wants to give them good things and moreover, the best thing. Numbers 6:24-26 says, "The LORD bless you, and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace." It is to this highest glory that our love-abounding God eagerly wants to give eternally to His children who have faith. He wants all of them to enter into New Jerusalem, share love with Him, and to enjoy the happiest moments.
Our Lord had the same heart and told His disciples as the following: in Luke 22:30, He said, "that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel." As the Lord guided them with such love, His twelve disciples, including Mathias (and not Judas Iscariot) fulfilled their duties of the spreading of the gospel and gained the glory of entering New Jerusalem.
God gave me the mission of filling the City of New Jerusalem. To perform this duty, I have filled the measure of justice fully for the 100% completion of the power of re-creation. It is because this duty will be completely fulfilled when the heart of people changes by the power of re-creation. The reason God has shown His power through countless signs and wonders is that He wants you to achieve whole spirit and enjoy the glory of New Jerusalem.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, our God is spirit, and He is so great that people cannot measure His greatness. This great and magnificent God is performing His great and amazing power with wonders in heaven and signs on earth for such a small and lowly person as you. I pray in the name of the Lord that you will understand the heart of God who wants you to achieve whole spirit and bear the fruit of joy quickly for Him.
