"I Preach in Season and Out of Season Because God Is Alive"

"Heaven, we should go there with many people!" In Gwangju Manmin Church, before we finished Daniel Prayer Meeting, all members together shout this phrase. By doing so, we think about our duty to spread the gospel and make up our minds. I am a leader who shouts the phrase first.

Evangelism has become the focal point of my life. When I see some empty seats in church, I feel very sorry and think about how to fill them. I profess to the Lord, "Lord, I want to fill the seats for You." Although I try hard to evangelize people, it is still nothing because I received a lot of grace from God.

I started my business when I was 36 years old, but I failed after nine years and lost health and the people around me also left. All I had was debt. I began to work as an insurance planner, but I was swindled by a customer and lost tens of thousands of dollars. It was impossible for me to restart something. As I was deceived by others, I could not trust anyone.

In 2009, I was guided to Gwangju Manmin Church by a customer, and I was healed of Meniere's disease (a disorder of the inner ear that can affect hearing and balance, leading to ringing in ears and losing hearing ability) and ankylosing spondylitis. I also could stop drinking and smoking.

Moreover, not long after I accepted the Lord, I was also healed of the third stage of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (photo, right). I was nothing, but the Lord loved me so much. When I sang praises, I could not stop the tears from flowing down from my eyes.

When I saw people on the street, I thought, 'Do they attend church?' So, I started to distribute Manmin News every Saturday and testified to God whom I had met.

On Sunday morning, I picked up the elderly members, believers with weak faith, and newcomers to church and home. And I prayed, "God, let them experience You as I met You." When my fervor appeared to cool down, I thought to myself, 'I was renewed just as Lazarus came back to life. It doesn't make sense.'"

I gave Dr. Jaerock Lee's book Tasting Eternal Life before Death to the owners of the hair salon, the laundry shop, and the clothes stores that I regularly went to. When I sold an insurance product, I still tried to spread the Word of God and our church of life to other people. I am trying to spread the gospel in season and out of season.

When I don't preach the gospel, I feel like I am a bad person since I know there are Heaven and Hell. Isn't it natural for Christians to spread the gospel? These days, I memorize the Bible verses in my car on the way to work and returning home. It is because I realized that I should arm myself with the Word of God in order to evangelize a lot more people and lead them to this church.

In the past, I lost hope for life and considered suicide, but now I am spreading God the Creator and Jesus Christ and living a blessed life with hope for Heaven. I give all thanks and glory to God.
