"Soul's Prosperity Is the Shortcut to Blessings"

When I was a fifth grader, my father had pleurisy that the medicine at the time couldn't cure. But when he went to a church, he was healed and my family accepted the Lord. In 1998, I was guided to Gongju Manmin Church by my brother. I experienced God's powerful works through Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee and became filled with grace.
However, because I often went to construction sites in distant areas for my business and I felt so tired, I was not able to pray much. In winter, there wasn't as much work to do in the field so I started to invest in stocks. As I kept worldly greed in my heart, I often dozed off during worship services. But I just thought I couldn't help it because my job required some physical manual labor.
My wife Deaconess Jongsun Kim sometimes suffered from bladder infections. She may have had hard times because I was heavily in debt due to the stocks and also because she was having some problems in serving my parents who lived with us. Her doctor said it could be the result of stress.
She began to repent that she had felt uncomfortable about all those that she had gone through and she prayed to cast off hatred. Then, she was healed through Senior Pastor's prayer for the sick. My son Seungmook sometimes convulsed due to high fever but he was healed through Senior Pastor's prayer recorded on Automated Response System and has grown up healthy in faith.
The God of love helped me with my business despite the national economic downturn when I kept the Sabbath and gave a tithe. Nevertheless, I was deeply in debt because I continued to invest in stocks. I justified my greed saying I would help others if I earned a lot of money. When it made profits, I felt so happy. But when it caused loss, I felt so depressed. My wife tried to stop me but I lied to her and secretly kept investing. She once talked about divorce with me.
In early 2013, however, an amazing thing happened to me. I finally stopped investing in stocks although I had not been able to stop it with my own strength. When the original voice of the shepherd gave out, I thought about how painful it was for my wife because of my greed. I made up my mind to stop it. I felt so happy. I started to pay back the debt and came to long for spiritual blessings.
In February 2016, my wife and I shook hands with Senior Pastor during the Lunar New Year's holidays. Afterwards, I began to receive blessings, that is, there were four construction sites that started working with me although it was winter. A new apartment construction started in Gumi, so I started to attend Gumi Manmin Church. Blessings did not stop here. In early May, Senior Pastor invited students to his mountain prayer house. As a financial director for the Students Sunday School, I visited his prayer house.
It was a turning point in my Christian life. I could closely observe the shepherd and see the hope he has for us and our renewal with faith. I saw him serving even young people, and trying his best to plant hope for Heaven in them. I was moved to tears. Afterwards, I was more earnest in worship services and prayer. God also gave me grace to repent thoroughly, and I recovered my first love and felt my faith increasing. Moreover, in June there was an amazing increase of seven more construction sites in Cheonan. Hallelujah!
Since I prayed, God has led me to receive such blessings in my business. He let me realize that soul's prosperity is the shortcut to receiving blessings. I give all thanks and glory to the God of love.
