My Dim Left Eye Became Bright

In February 2024, my right eye suddenly lost sight. The doctor said it was an ischemic attack, which, simply put, meant that a “stroke” which usually comes to the body had come to my eye. About a year later, on March 1 of this year, even my left eye?which had been seeing relatively well?began to grow dim. I could no longer read books or the Bible, and I could barely see my phone screen even with a magnifying glass. Even the faces of people close by looked blurry.
In desperation, on March 25, I went to an eye clinic for an examination. The doctor explained that the blood circulation in my left eye had slowed down, causing the blurriness. He told me there was no prescription or treatment available.
For the next few months, I could not read a single page of a book or the Bible. Then, toward the end of June, after the Sunday evening service, something amazing happened when I greeted Senior Pastor Soojin Lee. Since I had always believed in the passage where Jesus touched the eyes of two blind men and their eyes were opened, I told her that my left eye could not see well. Then, the pastor laid her hand on my left eye.
At that very moment, I felt as if something was peeled away from my eye, and amazingly, much of the blurriness disappeared, and my sight gradually became clearer. Experiencing this, I prepared for the Summer Retreat with the faith that I would be completely healed there, reflecting on myself and praying to be changed.
Reflecting on the pride I had developed while raising my children on my own and remembering how I hurt my children with my frameworks, I bitterly repented with tears, I asked pastor Jin-Young Jung to visit me. The pastor gently pointed out the shortcomings I had felt in myself and prayed for me so earnestly.
Through the GCN website, I listened again to The Message of the Cross and received great grace. Each time I listened, the love of the Lord was engraved in my heart, and my faith grew stronger. Before the retreat, I wrote down my prayer requests and asked pastor Soojin Lee to pray for them. For three days after that, whenever I prayed, I was able to repent in tears, and my heart felt so refreshed.
Though I longed for the retreat more than ever, because of work I could not attend in person and joined online instead. On the first day, August 4, during the seminar, every single word touched and inspired me and my heart felt like heaven itself. Finally, when pastor Soojin Lee prayed earnestly for the sick during the Divine Healing Meeting, I felt as though I were flying, and my body felt lighter.
After the retreat, something amazing happened. My eyesight continued to improve, and now I can even see the fine details of another person’s eyebrows. What’s more, I am now able to read the Bible clearly again?something I had been unable to do for months. I am so overjoyed and thankful that it feels like I am living in another world. Hallelujah! Even my right eye, which had completely lost vision, has now begun to see little by little. I give all thanks and glory to God who healed me.
