My hearing in both the ears has gradually deteriorated since 2020. It has worsened over time. Because I couldn’t hear well, while I was talking to someone, it happened that another person next to me tapped me and said, “Hey! Are you hearing me?” Then, I could continue to talk with them by looking at their lips. I turned up the TV in the living room, and it often made my children uncomfortable in their room. In May of 2024, I had a hearing test at the hospital by the urging of my family, and was diagnosed with a kind of hearing impairment. The hospital issued me a welfare card and a disabled transportation card, and told me that I needed to wear a hearing aid. I got the hearing aid, but I desired to get healed by faith at the coming summer retreat which was scheduled to be held in July. I fasted three days three times and attended a 21-day Vowed Daniel Prayer Meeting. I earnestly prayed to God every day, saying, “Please open up my ears!” On July 29, I was in a church van destined for the summer retreat venue and suddenly a loud sound “snap!” was heard in my left ear like that of breaking a branch off a tree. Immediately I looked around to find where it was, but no one else there heard it. I was a little confused, thinking, “What’s this? I heard it loudly enough…” I enjoyed the event fully and voluntarily helped the sick around me, which caused me to feel thankful for God’s grace. I listened carefully to the message delivered by Speaker Pastor Soojin Lee and I was so much blessed. I earnestly received her prayer for the sick with faith. While she was leading a campfire worship praise, I fervently sang praises to God and was filled with gratitude. It happened on July 31 when I came back home from the event. I turned on the TV and it was too loud. I quickly turned it down. Instantly I found that I had heard the “snap!” sound in the van because God had my ears opened. And I was convinced that God had been pleased with my fasting and prayers and healed me on the way to the summer retreat. I give all thanks and glory to our good God who healed me and made me hear well without a hearing aid. Hallelujah!
