After the COVID-19 pandemic, when I turned fifty, I developed rhinitis, and it gradually worsened. I had to live with a constantly runny nose and severe sneezing, and even wearing a mask did not keep it under control. Because I work in the food service industry, I was exposed to smoke and humidity, which made my symptoms even worse. I had to take rhinitis medication three times a day. I needed to take medicine every day of the week, and especially in the spring when pollen was heavy or in the dry autumn season, my symptoms became so severe that I had to receive not only medication but even antibiotic injections.
In December 2023, Pastor Emeritus passed away, and when I visited his memorial site in the spring of 2024, my heart was changed. As I reflected on my complacent life of faith, I shed many tears in repentance and resolved that I should repay the grace I had received through him by living a more diligent Christian life.
After that, I did my best not to cease praying in my circumstances, and I faithfully attended Daniel Prayer Meeting. Even when circumstances were unfavorable, I made sure to participate in the prayer meeting at home through the GCN broadcast. I also offered Sunday worship more sincerely in spirit and truth and tried to attend other gatherings whenever possible.
At every service, I earnestly received the prayer for the sick from pastor Soojin Lee. As I continued running forward to change myself and repay the grace I had received, around Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving) in 2025, my symptoms gradually began to improve. Before I realized it, I no longer needed to take rhinitis medication, and my sneezing stopped, with my runny nose almost completely gone.
Now, about five months later, I am living my daily life in peace without taking any medication at all. Hallelujah! Even my boss, who had always watched me suffer from rhinitis, was amazed. I give all thanks and glory to our good Father God who healed the rhinitis that could not be cured by medicine or injections.
