God Restored My Sight from Total Blindness: A Miracle of Light After 7 Years

About seven years ago, after suffering from high fever and chickenpox, I experienced severe headaches and a loss of consciousness. I was diagnosed with tuberculous meningitis and bilateral optic neuritis at the hospital. My condition was so critical at the time that I spent 15 days in the intensive care unit. While I eventually regained consciousness, I had completely lost my sight in both eyes and could no longer see anything. Subsequently, I was certified as 100% visually impaired.
I continued receiving vision treatment and medication at several hospitals, but my condition did not improve at all. For seven years, living in total darkness, I was unable to perform even the most basic tasks?such as eating, dressing, or moving around?on my own. I had to depend on my family for everything. The greatest pain of all was being unable to care for my children or even see their faces.
Hoping for healing, I poured everything I had into it, but nothing changed. Eventually, I had to accept the fact that my condition was not a simple eye problem, but rather optic nerve damage. Hearing that damaged optic nerves cannot be restored, I was forced to live in despair, believing there was no longer any hope in this world.
Meanwhile, I came to know Jesus Christ through my family. Although I attended church services for a while, it was not easy to maintain a consistent life of faith due to my blindness and the difficulty of moving around. Later, with the help of my family, I came across YouTube and discovered Delhi Manmin Church, where I began receiving counseling and spiritual guidance.
In December 2025, I started listening to the Word of God by consistently participating in Zoom services and meetings through my mobile phone. I was also able to keep listening to the Word through the Hindi audio feature on the website and gained comfort and faith through fellowship with other believers. Then, amazingly, my body began to undergo a change.
From a state of total blindness, my peripheral vision slowly began to open, and gradually, I started to see what was directly in front of me as well. Now, my vision has recovered to the point where I can distinguish between red and blue and even read large print. Significant changes have occurred in my daily life as well, as I am now able to eat, dress, and move around on my own.
This transformation?occurring in a condition that medicine deemed almost impossible to recover from?was clearly the work of God. Just as Bartimaeus, the blind man in the Bible, cried out in faith and received his sight, I too have experienced the grace of having my eyes opened through meeting the Lord. Now, relying on our good Father God who restored my lost vision, I offer up all thanks and glory, firmly believing that He will fully restore my vision.
