On April 22nd, the 2011 Easter Celebration Performance was presented in the main sanctuary of Manmin Central Church with the title 'Footprints of the Lord.' The performance was filled with God-given songs such as 'Calm Seashore', 'Waiting', and 'Resurrection.' Approximately four hundred-thirty people devoted themselves to the performance as actors, actresses, dancers, staff, members of United Choir and Nissi Orchestra. They gave glory to God.
What's noteworthy was that the angels' movement in spiritual realm during Jesus' public ministry, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension were expressed through dance drama. It moved the heart of the audience greatly.
Let's take a look at the performance 'The Footprints of the Lord' which overflowed with the grace and the love of the Lord.
Act 1: At the Sea of Galilee
After Jesus finished conducting the work of his daily ministry, He usually prayed while harboring the will of the Father God. His angels were with Him and at His side and all the time.
Act 2: Jesus and His Disciples
Jesus taught the Gospel of Heaven to His disciples. They listened to the words of His message and witnessed the many signs He performed.
Act 3: The Night of Jesus' Arrest
As the time had come for Him, Jesus was preparing for His destiny to save us from our sin, and He was arrested by the Jewish soldiers.
Act 4: Jesus Imprisoned
Jesus prayed for souls even in prison. His love was delivered to God by His angels.
Act 5: Jesus' Crucifixion
His heart was severely broken and painful, not because of the thorny crown and the cruel flogging, but because of the corrupted hearts of men.
Mary Magdalene and Virgin Mary loved Jesus fathomlessly, so they couldn't depart from the place where Jesus was crucified. Meanwhile, soldiers of Roman Empire took Jesus' outer garments and divided it into four parts, a part for each soldier. However, they did not tear His tunic and one of them took it by the casting of lots.
The Sabbath passed as the dawn of the next day broke. Mary Magdalene and Virgin Mary were lifelessly walking with perfumes in their hands. Their hearts were so broken and mournful with the thoughts of not being able to see the Lord ever again.
Act 6: Resurrection and Hope
The resurrected Lord Jesus appeared for the first time before Mary Magdalene, who had not been able to stop shedding tears due to His death.
The Lord has risen as prophesied. Hallelujah! Lord of the Resurrection, Lord of Glory, Lord of the Second Coming, with Hope we wait for You!
