“And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. "I only wish the news of the works of God's power to be delivered to physicians all over the world."
~ Elder Dr. Joonha Hwang (President, World Christian Doctors Network)
Elder Dr. Joonha Hwang, President of the World Christian Doctors Network and recognized for his contribution in the WCDN ministry for the overall development and prestige of Manmin Joong-ang Church, is the recipient of "The 2006 Plaque of Recognition." The following are his thoughts and aspirations.
It was not the easiest of tasks to expand a movement that sought to publicly affirm on a global scale the works of God's healing to physicians whose very profession is to heal their patients with medicine. Nevertheless, WCDN has been successful because of the faith, the undeniable manifestations of God's power, and encouragement of its Chairman Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee. Through the years, I have had a number of difficult decisions to made but each time I asked myself, 'How can I be of greater help in greatly achieving the kingdom of God?' WCDN has also been successful because, at times when I needed answers to more critical questions, I'd receive them through the Chairman ? a man of prayer ? as he is always clearly guided by the Holy Spirit. I would very much like to see more doctors and medical professionals from around the world participate in WCDN's ministry and give greater glory to God. I also desire to be of even the littlest help in leading more souls back to the arms of Our Lord at the end of the age by testifying with reliability to the Living God, to the truthfulness of the Bible, and to Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
