God the Creator's power not only has influence on the human body and healing, but it can also control the phenomena of nature.
Jesus' rebuke completely calmed the winds and the waves of a furious storm (Mark 4:37-39). Elijah's earnest prayer stopped rain for three and a half years and made it rain again (1 Kings 17-18; James 5:16-18). This kind of works still happens today.
Escape from natural disasters like typhoons and hurricanes
In September 2001, Dr. Jaerock Lee's Philippines Crusade was to be held in Luneta Park. Before the crusade, two typhoons were on the way to the area of the crusade venue. In the press conference, Dr. Lee professed his faith saying that he trusts God who led him to the Philippines and the crusade would be successfully held without any problem. In reality, just as he had spoken, the crusade was successful in the cool weather without rain.
After Dr. Lee boldly professed faith in the press conference in Manila, typhoon Lekima suddenly changed its course.
In August 2011, the hurricane Irene threatened the mid-Atlantic coast. The forecast predicted it would cause widespread damage on Sunday, August 28. So the pastors of Manmin's branch churches in New York City, New Jersey, and Washington D.C. asked Dr. Lee to pray for the matter. Dr. Lee prayed for the hurricane to disappear during Friday All-night Service at 03:05 A.M. on Saturday, August 27 in Korea; at 14:05 P.M. on Friday, August 26 in New York.
A few minutes before Dr. Lee prayed for this, at 14:00 P.M. on Friday, in a press conference, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York City urged the people to leave the city for the first time. But after Dr. Lee prayed for the hurricane to die out, it started to weaken. On Sunday, before it reached New York, it had downgraded from a hurricane to a tropical storm.
Hurricane Irene weakening after Dr. Lee's prayer
In January, 2011, the Brisbane River experienced major flooding and inundated low-lying areas in Australia. Serious problems were predicted within 24 hours such as flooding tides and reservoir release. WCDN (World Christian Doctors' Network) Australia sent a prayer request to Dr. Jaerock Lee on January 11. As a result, on January 13th it was reported that the flooding was minor compared to what had been forecasted.
Dr. Irene Jacovou sent a prayer request to Dr. Lee on January 11th with concern about possible calamity caused by major flooding. After the prayer, the water level was lower than predicted (January 13, BBC).
God's glory was revealed in heavy rainfalls
In August, 2013, during Manmin Summer Retreat, Dr. Lee's seminar began in the outdoor venue at 7:30 P.M. But at 7:40 P.M. it started to rain and turned into heavy rain. Dr. Lee prayed for it to stop raining. In the name of Jesus Christ he commanded, "Rain, stop!" Then, the thick black clouds that poured rain dissipated. It stopped raining and stars appeared as clear skies opened overhead.
During the drought in October 2002, which was one of the most severe droughts in India's history, the land had not had any rain for nine months.
On October 8, Dr. Lee arrived at India to hold India United Crusade 2002 and arrived at Chennai airport. After he had a press conference, heavy rain began to fall.
Chennai had received water supply from Karnataka the neighboring city, but the city declared not to send water any more. So the whole city of Chennai was to go on strike against the central government because of water supply problems on October 9. But for a week while Dr. Lee stayed in India, there was frequent rainfall with large amount of water accumulation.
October 12 was the third day of the crusade and something unexpected happened. Suddenly there was a strong wind and very heavy rain during the sermon. There was thunder and lightning too. Dr. Lee urged the attendees not to be shaken by the rain and to show faith to God. He added, if then, God would work for them more greatly. He kept preaching in the heavy rainfall without an umbrella.
He prayed for the sick earnestly. Then countless people were healed of their diseases. The attendees and viewing audiences who watched this through TV felt the Lord's love through him.
The next day, on October 13th, it was the last day of the crusade and approximately 1.5 million people came to the crusade. The police reported to the government that around three million people in total had attended the Christian crusade in peace without any accidents or incidents for four days.
India United Crusade 2002 was attended by a total of more than three million people. During the period of the crusade, severe drought was relieved. Many people were healed and converted to Christianity.
We cannot but admit that heavens, the earth, and all things in them absolutely obey God. This is because it is God who created them. Then, what was God, who existed before eternity, like before the creation?
1 John 1:5 reads, "This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all." He existed in the form of magnificent and gorgeous light and filled the whole universe. He allows Manmin members to take pictures of aurora-like light in various shapes through their cell phone cameras so that they can feel His Original Light. As they see the light, their hope for New Jerusalem increases. They become even more earnest to grow up in faith and achieve the heart of spirit.
