“And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. Last August, churches leaders and bishops of the denomination had a meeting in Kaliningrad despite the COVID-19 situation. Pastors from other denominations also attended the meeting, which was very promising for the cooperation with others.
In the meeting, we discussed how we should wisely manage the ministry in the limited condition under COVID-19. We eventually agreed that we should organize an association with other denominations, and build the kingdom of God by keeping the horizontal relationship with each other above their unique doctrines in the Christ Jesus.
On the 8th day of September, there was a morning prayer meeting in Saint Petersburg, where Christian politicians, and State government officials along with leaders of Russian Orthodox Church, Lutheran Churches, Judaism, and Christian Churches gathered. Pastor Vitaliy Blasenko from International Evangelical Association, and Mr. Goncharov, the President’s consultant on religion were special guests for the meeting.
I was invited to deliver a message and to lead a closing prayer. I also discussed with other bishops the matter of organizing the association of evangelical churches in Saint Petersburg. It was a very meaningful and blissful meeting.
Thank you for your prayer and love for the ministry in Russia.
