Since I was deeply touched by Dr. Jaerock Lee’ books, I had been selling his books at various cultural festivals since 2013, and I also got a hope of opening a books store and church here in Sibu Jaya.
When I visited Korea in 2018, I met staff of Urim Books, a book publishing company sharing the gospel through his books, and discussed the management of a book store with him. Upon coming back to my country, I cancelled the rental contract on the second and third floors of my building and started to renovate the building for the book store and church. I did not have enough finance but I did my best with my intense enthusiasm for spreading the word of life. I faced financial difficulties during the remodeling but the situation began to change in 2020 as we kept doing with faith. Some of my properties were sold at a good price, so I was able to pay off all my debts, and I rented the restaurant I had run at a good price. Currently, I rent out all my real estate, including restaurants, and thanks to the rents, my family have no worry about living expenses, so we focus on God’s work and the bookstore. Finally, the church remodeling was complete at the end of the last year. We’re worshipping in that sanctuary and the bookstore was opened on January 7. I could do nothing but all these things were possible by the grace of the Father God and the Lord. I hope that I may evangelize the world by being united with Manmin all the more through the ministry of the bookstore and the church.
