“And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him, saying, ‘Hail, King of the Jews!’ They spat on Him, and took the reed and began to beat Him on the head. Participating in the UN International Conference as a Korean Representative
Jaewon Park (Economic Analysis Team, Korea Institute of Intellectual Property)
Last November, an international conference on intellectual property of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) was held in Vienna, Austria. There were a total of eight Korean representatives, including a judge, a professor, a government official, etc., and Jaewon Park was one of them. This conference was attended by representatives from 60 countries and experts from many professional organizations. There couldn't have been a better opportunity for her, as she is preparing her doctorate dissertation on the theme, "Security Interest on Intellectual Property". "It was not easy being selected as a representative. While preparing for my doctoral dissertation last July, I told the Senior Pastor that the international conference would be held in the coming November, and received his prayer. But in his prayer Senior Pastor unexpectedly blessed me, saying "Please let her participate in the conference." Through this prayer, I came to have assurance. Even when I faced difficult situations, I didn't have even a bit of doubt. This was a valuable experience to me, because I was able to hear the opinions of professionals from many different countries and organizations on the topic of security interest on intellectual property. Knowing that everything will always go well when God is with her, she always tries to look at herself in light of God's word, and pray diligently.
