Dragonflies are sitting on members' fingers at the 2009 Men's and Women's Mission Group Summer Retreat (from August 3 to 5) held at the Muju Resort in Muju, Jeonnam Province.
During that year 2009, one of the words that were most frequently spoken among Manmin members was 'Blessing.' At the 2008-2009 New Year's Service offered on January 1, 2010, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee preached under the title 'Blessing' (Deuteronomy 28:1-6) that "Particularly in this year, you will receive material blessings and enjoy good health as your souls prosper and you will be blessed in all aspects of your lives more than ever." And, the year 2009 has been just as he preached. From the beginning of the year, God told us the secrets of blessings and let us prepare a proper vessel. In the spring, God let us hold a Blessing Feast and thereby led us to receive comprehensive blessings by solving the original problems. And God filled us with hope for Heaven by renewing our souls with clear and pure songs. During the Summer Retreat, God let us experience the spiritual space through various wonders including pleasant weather in the rainy season, the appearance of dragonflies, the appearing and disappearing of clouds, and rainbows. These experiences with the spiritual space became great faith to us. Even though the world was terrified by swine flu that killed many people, Manmin members were protected from this disease and glorified God. Even when some of members were infected by this disease, they were healed by receiving Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer directly, handkerchief prayer or ARS (Automated Response System) prayer on the phone and their faith grew. In addition, there were testimonies of being protected from such misfortunes as car accidents and fire that came pouring in from many countries. Also last year, God received much glory through the works of Manmin ministry in many fields. Through Broadcasting Mission via Manmin TV and GCN (Global Christian Network), the Publications Mission, the handkerchief meetings held in Korea and overseas countries, the 27th Church Anniversary Event, the 6th International Christian Medical Conference by WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network) and the Relief Ministry for needy members the kingdom of God has been vigorously accomplished. This testifies that God gave the church and each member material blessings. Even though people have lost their jobs and experienced cuts in salaries, many Manmin members found new jobs, received promotions and were blessed to pay an increase in tithes. Most of all, the Israel mission has beautifully borne its fruit. Through the three-year Israel mission the church in Israel has stood firm. The power of God was spread not only throughout Israel, but all over the world as a result of the 2009 Israel United Crusade in Jerusalem last September. This is only because of the love of God and His grace that our church has become outstanding above all nations and has spread the gospel even to the remotest part of the world. In addition to these blessings, there have been countless other blessings that God has poured upon the church, member's families, workplaces and businesses during last year. We give all the glory and thanks to God who blessed us during 2009.
