(15th Parish, Director of Research and Development at Daeho Inc)
I majored in animal resources science in Sungkyunkwan University and received a Doctor's Degree in agricultural science in August of 1999. In July 2000, I began working as a postdooral researcher at the British Colombia University, Canada and Agriculture and Life Science Research Institute at Taiwan National Research Center. 3 years later I came back to Korea, and started to work as a visiting researcher at the College of Agriculture and Life Science Department, Seoul National University from June 2003 to February 2007, and then I entered Daeho Inc., a livestock industry-related company.
Daeho Inc. is a company that manufactures and provides animal medicines, subsidiary feeder (excipient) and feed ingredients and works for the development of Korean eco-friendly livestock industry under the motto 'Abundant Life and Pleasant Environment.' I want to confess that all of this was God's favor and love that I could work in this company.
* Is There Such a Pastor in Korea?
I have been a Christian since I was in my mother's womb but grew up without special spiritual experience. When I was in high school, I had a motorcycle accident in which my spirit left and came back to my body. Since then, I came to realize the spiritual realm which is invisible. While living in a foreign country, my wife Deaconess Sungsook Lee, who had led an earnest life of faith at our church since before our marriage, introduced to me the powerful works of God manifested by Dr. Jaerock Lee.
The ultimate reason that I became a Manmin member was that in October 2002 I watched the 2002 Miracle Healing Prayer Festival in India, which was attended by overall 3 million people. At that time I was staying in Taiwan and watched the crusade through a video tape. I was greatly touched to see Senior Pastor earnestly preach the message even while the heavy rain was pouring. I thought, 'Was there such a pastor in Korea? Why didn't Korean churches make him known?'
In March 2003, right after I came back to Korea from Taiwan, I began attending Manmin Central Church. I thought I was leading a good life of fait, but didn't experience big growth in my faith.
* My life Changed through the Powerful Works of God
In January 2009, my mother was diagnosed with the early phase of breast cancer and underwent an operation. After she stayed in the hospital for 10 days, she didn't go to her house in Ichon City but instead attended the Divine Healing Meeting at Manmin Prayer Center in Seoul by the guidance of my wife. Then the spirit of repentance came upon her and she uncontrollably burst into sobbing and repented of her past. At the moment she had an experience that a light entered into the part of her body where she had received a surgery. From that point on, the aftereffects from breast cancer surgery were all gone and the severe pain from arthritis on the both knees also disappeared. A few months later she was diagnosed with the first degree of visual impairment, but after applying Muan Sweet Water on her eyes and drinking it, she regained her sight. What is more, the coughing that tormented her every night had also gone. She became a big fan of Muan Sweet Water. Also, I saw my son, who suffered from otitis media, perfectly healed after dipping himself in Muan Sweet Water during his visit to the site of Muan Sweet Water. Through these experiences, I came to acknowledge the living God and tried to change myself.
* Dr. Sung! You Got a Promotion!
After I went to work for Daeho Inc., I tried to develop a new product. Even though I underwent some difficulties working with my colleagues, I tried my best as a Christian. I succeeded in striking deals with big companies that the company had failed in despite years of effort and contributed a lot to our company's experiencing a 20% increase in sales in spite of world economic recession and the decrease in the number of people in the livestock industry.
On February 15, 2010, we had a New Year's greeting with Senior Pastor during the New Year's holiday. I heard the message about how we could receive God's blessing from Senior Pastor, and then I shook hands with him with a wish that I could be recognized as an excellent worker in the company. Then on Thursday of the very week, I was promoted to the postion of the General Manager of the Headquarters of Research and Development from the postion of a Manager of Central Research Institute. I was reminded of Senior Pastor's prayer of blessing. I was overjoyed thinking, "God blessed me just as I had desired!" The more surprising thing was that this position hadn't previously existed and wasn't even discussed during the human resources meeting. So this was a really unexpected thing for all of us.
Generally speaking, a manager is the highest position in the laboratory and above that there are only salary class increases. So I was overjoyed by this unexpected promotion through the company's recognition for my 3-year contribution. Now I have two positions in the company concurrently as a Manager of Central Research Institute and the General Manager of the Headquarters of Research and Development, which is almost the same level with the board directors. I came to establish a solid foothold in the company. Not only do I work for the eco-friendly livestock industry dealing with aspects of promotion of livestock productivity and produce of functional livestock product, maintaining and enhancing the feed quality, and developing new products but also take charge of marketing business by gaining many clients at home and overseas and publicizing new products to them. I give all the thanks and glory to God for overflowing blessing and I also want to thank Senior Pastor for his prayer.
