On television and in films are scenes in which a person's spirit, looking identical to his body, exiting the body upon the person's death. Once the spirit has exited the body, we see the spirit stunned to find his self. However, once a believer has correctly understood the spirit, soul, and body – fundamental components of man – it should not be surprising.
