Why did God place the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?
New Update
“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, ‘From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die.’” (Genesis 2:16-17) ...

Nothing Is Impossible with God!

"'If You can?' All things are possible to him who believes." (Mark 9:23)

People meet with not only happy and joyful things but sorrowful and painful thins as well. Some people suffer from diseases, financial difficulties, problems at home and schools. Some others seem to have no problem outwardly but have inexpressible conflicts and discords between parents and children, couples, and parents-in-law. All these problems, however, can be resolved through the faith in God in whom nothing is impossible, as recorded in the Bible.
By the power of God the Creator of the whole universe, the dead are revived, the blind come to see, the mute speak, those who couldn't walk are made whole and come to walk, and all kinds of incurable diseases and terminal diseases are healed. What should we do in order to experience the almighty power of God and lead a successful life by faith?

1. 'If You can?'

In Mark 9:14-23 are conversations between Jesus and the father whose son was possessed with an evil spirit and made mute and deaf by that. The son also suffered from epilepsy. The father always lived a hopeless life in the midst of anxieties and pains.
One day he came to possess a hope because he heard about the miracles Jesus had performed—reviving the dead, healing people of various illnesses and sicknesses, and opening the eyes of the blind. The father expected Jesus would heal his son, and came to Jesus with the hope for his son's recovery and said to Him, "If You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!"
And Jesus rebuked the father of his unbelief, saying, "'If You can?' All things are possible to him who believes." The father had the knowledge of Jesus' powerful ministry, but just expected accidental healing would happen because he didn't believe from the heart.
If the father had believed Jesus is the Son of God and can do everything with His almighty power, he wouldn't have expressed a conditional word, "If You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!" It is impossible to please God or to receive His answers without faith. To give the father a spiritual awakening, Jesus said to him, "If You can?" and rebuked him of his incomplete belief.

2. Nothing Is Impossible to Him Who Believes

What do we have to do in order to receive answers with complete faith?

First of all, we have to destroy the barriers of sin between God and us. Isaiah 59:1-2 says, "Behold, the LORD's hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear."
If we have the barriers of sin before God, we cannot either receive answers or understand His will. Since we cannot obey the will of God, we have nothing to do with Him. That's why we have to shatter the barriers of sin into pieces by repenting of our sins, and struggle against and throw away sins to the point of shedding blood. We have to hate and dislike sins until we cannot commit sins. Then, we can have communication with God and possess perfect faith.

Secondly, we have to seek the will of God. It is recorded in Matthew 22:37-38, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and foremost commandment," and in 1 John 5:3, "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome." Therefore, we should clearly discern the will of God and throw away whatever we like if it is against His will. On the contrary, we should be able to practice whatever will of God even if we dislike it. If we seek and practice the will of God with all our sincerity, all our hearts, and all our strength, God will give us complete faith.

Thirdly, we have to love and please God. Psalm 37:45 says, "Delight yourself in the LORD; and He will give you the desires of your heart." We should do all to the glory of God, whether we eat or drink, or whatever we do (1 Corinthians 10:31), and please God to the point of sacrificing ourselves. Then, we can receive the faith that makes the impossible possible.
If we receive complete faith, we can believe not only what is seen and seems to be possible with our strength but also believe and obey what is invisible and seems to be impossible. We can receive whatever we ask for by this complete faith and glorify God.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God proclaims, "'If You can'? All things are possible to him who believes." If this Word of God comes upon our heart and complete faith is given us, any kind of problem can be resolved. Therefore, we should look at everything by faith without getting involved in any fleshly thoughts and patiently pray for God's answers. May you please God with this complete faith and patient prayers, and glorify God by receiving answers quickly, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray!
