Manmin Volunteers' Brigade Has Rendered Various Difficult Services to the Church for 24 Years

"The More Dedications I Offer to My Neighbors, the Greater My Joy"

The joy from service and dedications from love overflow wherever members of Manmin Volunteers' Brigade are, who love their neighbors as themselves and serve the temple of God as their house with the love of the Lord

Every Sunday morning, every corner of the church, including the sanctuaries, the roadsides, restaurants, restrooms, and parking lots, is shined with members of Manmin Volunteers' Brigade in wonderful uniforms. They spread beautiful and happy fragrance from their bright and shining smiles and diligent services. Everything they are showing is attributed to the teachings of Jesus Christ who fulfilled the Law with love, and good examples of Dr. Jaerock Lee who has been rendering service and love to neighbors.
Elder Jaesik Chun, Advisor of Manmin Volunteers' Brigade, confesses, saying, "I used to lead a despaired life with alcoholism in my young days, but I turned into a new person after registering Manmin Central Church and listening to this holiness gospel, and serving the kingdom of God and the church with thanksgiving. I have received many blessings including peace at home, good health and financial blessing. Now I am so happy to see many junior members of Volunteers' Brigade."
Deacon Sukwan Kong, General of Hallelujah Volunteers' Brigade says, "Every Sunday, our members come to church very early morning and render services until late. I am always touched to see such services. Rendering service to the church is one of the duties of the believers in the Lord." Deaconess Sookja Lee, Vice General of Joshua Volunteers' Brigade, also says, "I have served the church and church members because I've been so thankful for the grace of the Lord. I am so happy with the fact of serving them itself."
Each member of the Manmin Volunteers' Brigade is rendering services only with thanksgiving for God's grace. Their volunteering services have made many church members lead comfortable and happy Christian lives. Their bright smiles bring other church members peace and joy.

On July 25, 2010, they offered their devotional service to God, and Speaker Dr. Jaerock Lee delivered the message titled "Rewards." In his message Dr. Lee said, "When you render services and dedications to neighbors as their hands and feet, God counts it as valuable and pays back you with special rewards in Heaven." The members of Manmin Volunteers' Brigade looked happier than any other time.
Manmin Volunteers' Brigade is categorized into 4 groups: Hallelujah Volunteers' Brigade consisting of married male church members, Hallelujah Sisters' Volunteers' Brigade consisting of female members, Joshua Volunteers' Brigade of young single male members, and Manmin Volunteers' Praise Team consisting of flag bearers, dancers, and drum and fife band. Manmin Volunteers' Brigade was organized in 1987, and has served the church for the last 24 years in many fields—maintaining vehicles' order around the church, guiding church members at parking lots, helping those in wheelchair, cleaning the sanctuaries and restrooms, supporting ushers during the worship service, giving out weekly bulletins to church members, preparing for lunch on Sundays, and so on.
In addition, male members of Levite full-time workers are participating in the funeral ceremony of church members and performing the duty of carrying the coffin to burial place. This service of carrying the bier happens very often. In 2009, it happened about 100 times, in other words, every three days. Elder Seyoung Oh, Director of Funeral Ceremony Managing Department, says, "When a believer dies, the deathbed service, casketing service, funeral cortege service and burial service are offered. Levite volunteers participate in the four services, and many unbelievers are evangelized and believers are comforted to see the volunteers rendering sacrificial services. Through their service, some unbelievers and long-termed absentees come to attend church."
Our Lord Jesus told us to "love our neighbors as ourselves." When they serve church members as their hands and feet, they come to overflow with grace and joy that come down from the Lord. Manmin Central Church is praying for the construction of the Canaan Sanctuary and many more volunteers will be needed in the era of the Canaan Sanctuary. Who wants to partake in this blessed ministry?
