On March 7, 2011, the Two-term Special Daniel Prayer Meeting was kicked off in the main sanctuary and the second sanctuary with the two themes "Canaan Sanctuary" and "New Jerusalem Campaign". Mrs. Boknim Lee will be conducting this prayer meeting for 42 days ending on April 17.
On the first night the two sanctuaries were packed with thousands of believers, and the church members were filled with the love for the Lord and with longing hearts to accomplish sanctification as quickly as possible.
Manmin Prayer Center announced the total number of believers who had gathered in the main and second sanctuaries amounted to 4,383. Additionally, many believers in many of the branch churches all around the world attended the prayer meeting via GCN broadcasting and the Internet.
On March 6, 2011, the day before this two-term special prayer meeting started, Dr. Jaerock Lee earnestly prayed for the believers as follows, "…Let them be empowered with the strength to keep their hearts and control their minds. Bring the evils that they have not cast away to mind and help them completely uproot the original attributes of their sins."
Among the many things the believers attending the prayer meeting pray for are the church, its senior pastor, and the construction of the new sanctuary, the Canaan Sanctuary. They also pray for world evangelization with the holiness gospel, and the nation of South Korea and its people, and to accomplish sanctification and to fulfill their God-given duties. Taking after the earthly life of our Lord Jesus, they gather at this prayer meeting to first seek and ask for the kingdom and righteousness of God and prepare for the next day.
This Two-term Consecutive Daniel Prayer Meeting will be held for 42 days until April 17, which is Palm Sunday this year. The believers at Manmin Central Church are offering their earnest prayers to God with a strong resolution at this prayer meeting because they believe that this is a crucial chance for them to achieve sanctification.
Deacon Suck Choi said this about prayer meeting, "I'm praying looking back at my thoughts, words and deeds. I need fiery power of prayer to avoid speaking futile and hurtful words but instead to speak only good words, like a fountain sending out fresh water." Deaconess Boksoon Kim also said, "While praying at the Daniel Prayer Meeting, I've come to have the assurance of entering New Jerusalem and I've been filled with joy. I feel praying to God is like keeping a diary and writing a letter to Him every day. When I pray for the kingdom and righteousness of God, my heart is filled with peace and joy."
