In 2012, Manmin members have been running earnestly to become sanctified and extend God's kingdom. In this edition, we will look at the members of honor who received the 2012 Plaque of Appreciation in recognition of their setting a good example for the other members and boosting spiritual energy in church.

"I can't tell you enough about the blessing that I have received by memorizing the Bible verses"
"I just started to memorize them with an obedient heart, but God poured down His great grace upon me. So, I couldn't stop doing it. I have received so many blessings. Above all, the verses I memorized are a great help for taking care of souls."
In November, 2012, Pastor Geumran Hwang won the Grand Prize of honor in the 'Best of Best' Bible Quiz Contest in which the previous silver, gold, and grand prize winners participated. She caused the church members to cheer with admiration because, not only was she able to memorize around 1,000 verses perfectly, but she also showed outstanding skills in applying them. She became a role model for those who arm themselves with the Word of God. But it was not done overnight.
She was one of the founding members of Light and Salt Mission which is an interdenominational mission group for those who work on Sunday in restaurants or department stores. She led her Christian life diligently in her own way, but as time went by she felt a stronger sense of responsibility as a worker who had a God-given duty. In the meantime, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee put an emphasis on the importance of arming ourselves with the Word of God and urged the members to memorize a verse a day and read more than a chapter a day from the Bible. She joyfully obeyed him and labored to arm herself with the Word. As a result she received Grand, Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Participation prizes in the Bible Quiz Contest that was held annually.
She said, "The more verses you memorize, the more you will feel God's love. The love of God who gives children good things again and again is contained in the Word of the Bible. If you start to do it, you will also become a blessed person."

"Taking after the Lord, I awaken the young every day"
Brother Seungchul Song is a new leader who inspired a new wave among Manmin's young adults. Those in their youth meet him, become full of the Spirit, and come to set new goals to become an instrument of the Spirit in the end time.
He has a lot to tell about his schooldays. He began drinking alcohol and smoking out of curiosity. He often had a test of strength against his friends, which made him the leader of strongest gangs in his area. 'I must not live like this.' He was always heavy-hearted. Meantime, he decided to join the Marine Corps in order to have a chance to be changed. Before joining the service, he visited Dr. Jaerock Lee, repented of past sins, and received his intercessory prayer. He finally joined the Corps with the love of the Lord deep in his heart, but it wasn't that easy. He had to completely demolish his pride and arrogance there.
After being discharged from the Marines in July, 2009, he tried to resemble the Lord in earnest. Through sermons, he discovered untruth and the sinful natures in his heart and he relied on God to cast them off. In December 2010, as a vice president of College Mission he led the 'New Jerusalem Campaign' where students stopped watching unhealthy TV programs and using the internet inappropriately and they began to arm themselves with the Word of God and prayed. This campaign caused a new spiritual wave throughout all the members.
He said, "The New Jerusalem Campaign begins with young adults who experienced the love of the shepherd and saw his tears falling for them. I could do it only by the help of the Holy Spirit."

"Malay souls have been awakened by Dr. Lee's books in multiple languages"
Mrs. Deborah Tang, President of Manmin Publisher, has translated, published, and distributed Dr. Jaerock Lee's books in Malay and Chinese. By doing so, she has taken a lead in spreading the holiness gospel. She said it is all because of God's grace.
"I had never thought about establishing this publishing company and bookstore. I still can't believe this. It is a change caused by a book."
In August, 2007, she received Dr. Lee's book Heaven Vol. 1 in the Chinese edition as a present from an acquaintance. She was amazed by the fact that our dwelling place will be decided according to our measure of faith. Heaven, about which had been vague to her before, came to her clearly and the hope for Heaven began overflowing in her. Since then, she has harbored the vision for evangelizing Overseas Chinese who live in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries. In the end, she opened Manmin Publisher in Johor Bahru in late 2010.
Currently, Dr. Lee's books are available through SNS Culture Trading in Kuala Lumpur; Manmin Bookstore in Sibu; Beng Kai Enterprise in Miri; and Bright Forever in Kanowit. Through them, Dr. Lee's books' distribution network has been constantly expanded.
In September, 2012, she actively supported Handkerchief Crusades (Acts 19:11-12) for Overseas Chinese led by Pastor Sungchil Lee who is an assistant pastor of Manmin Central Church. In early December, she also held a Christmas Book Festival in Sibu. She is planning to continually spread Dr. Lee's books and DVDs that contain church events and to conduct book fairs and handkerchief healing crusades to spread the gospel.
