[Special feature] Penang Manmin Deaf Church celebrates the 15th anniversary, full of joy and happiness
On Sunday, December 3, 2023, Penang Mamin Deaf Church (Lead Pastor Jonghoon Jee) celebrated its 15th anniversary in Penang, Malaysia by God’s grace and blessing. It was attended by over 500 believers from 28 countries and simultaneously interpreted into 11 sign languages and 2 languages. Not only deaf people but also church representatives and believers from Sibu, Ipoh, and Kuala Lumpur attended, resulting in Manmin festival in Malaysia.
Speaker Pastor Hakyoung Lim (Vice President of Paster’s Association) preached a message titled with ‘God answers’ and prayed for the sick with the handkerchief of power (Acts 19:11-12). Many were healed and testified they restored the hearing and pains were gone.
It was followed by celebration performance in which deaf believers showed a traditional dance of Sibu, women’s mission sang a song, and young adults’ mission joyfully danced. And many video messages were sent from many deaf members all around the world including Manmin Central Church, which added joy and grace.
In addition, Speaker Pastor Hakyoung Lim conducted a seminar for church leaders and had fellowship with many members from Europe, Thailand, and Malaysia. He also visited Kuala Lumpur Manmin Church and Capital Manmin Church in Kuala Lumpur and led handkerchief meetings and had fellowship there. Penang Manmin Deaf Church in Malaysia participates in Manmin Central Church’s Sunday services, Friday all-night service, and Daniel prayer meetings via Zoom. Many members of the church experienced amazing power of God and came to hear sound through Senior Pastor Jaerock Lee’s prayer or the handkerchief upon which Pastor Lee prayed (Acts 19: 11-12).
