I opened the door to mission work in Japan with the founding of Ida Manmin Church in 1994. Beginning at some point soon thereafter, I became aware of my spiritual limit and the stagnant growth at the church. As a shepherd in charge of a sanctuary of God, I spent many days and nights in prayer, asking Him, "How can I overcome this limit?"
Praying to overcome my limits
Then at "The Seminar for Servants of the Lord" in July 2004, I realized how arrogant I had been in God's sight and repented of it through and through. All my concerns and problems were washed away with "The Japan Nationwide Handkerchief Crusade with Pastor Heesun Lee" (Acts 19:11-12). With the handkerchief on which Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee had prayed, so many members of Ida Manmin were healed, and I was a witness to it.
In December 2004, the Senior Pastor told me, "Rev. Ryu, by faith, make good use of the handkerchief," and I took his words to my heart.
 Experiencing God's power through handkerchief crusades
On December 15, 2004, I conducted the first handkerchief crusade at Ida Manmin Church and all members who had registered as patients suffering from such diseases as pain in the waist and nocturnal enuresis received healing.
After "The Handkerchief Crusade with Mrs. Boknim Lee of Manmin Prayer Center" on January 20, 2005, I have conducted handkerchief crusades every Wednesday evening. During these meetings, Ida Manmin members have rent their heart in repentance, received God's healing in their flesh and spirit, and received His answers to a variety of their problems. Newcomers have received the grace of arriving at salvation by learning about the spiritual world. Those who had had weak faith have come to possess true faith in their hopes for heaven. Church workers began to receive overflowing grace by which they ran their races even harder.

Then in early 2006, I began praying fervently to double the church growth – to 100 in attendance in Sunday services every week. In a country where the spreading of the gospel is not the easiest of tasks, a congregation with a regular attendance of 100 or more is considered a very large church.
On top of that, as the Senior Pastor said, "Make every effort to have 100 members every Sunday at church this year!" the members of Ida Manmin and I received his words by faith and pressed on with our prayer. Assisted by the handkerchief crusades that were being held on a regular basis, by August 2006 the number of people in attendance in Sunday services exceeded 100 and in another two months, the number exceeded 110. Hallelujah!
Nowadays, the handkerchief of God's power is an integral part in Ida Manmin's revival and its members' spiritual growth. We seek to magnify God even more greatly in 2007 with even greater revival.
