Precious Gift from God, the Blessing of Conception

When a married couple try to conceive yet are unable after more than a year of marriage, they are considered to be infertile. Also if they are not able to become pregnant for a certain period of time after childbirth or miscarriage repeatedly, they are considered as infertile as well. As a result of both the husband and wife working and women's increasing participation in society, the falling birth rate has become a serious problem. Additionally, the number of families suffering from infertility, even though they want a baby, is on the rise.
According to the Korean Institute for Health and Social Affairs, there are more than 1.4 million couples in Korea who are infertile. Despair and depression caused by infertility can disrupt families and it can even lead to divorce and suicide. In many parts of the Bible we can find that it is God who gives us life. (See Genesis 2:7; Number 16:22; Psalm 27:1, 42:8). Psalm 36: 9 reads "For with You is the fountain of life" and also Acts 17:25 reads "[God] Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things."
Therefore, conceiving a new life is up to only God and conception can be managed only by God. Humans have succeeded in artificial insemination and test-tube babies have been born. But it's impossible for them to engineer human reproductive cells because creating man's sperm and woman's egg is possible only with the power of God.
The story of a Shunammite woman is recorded in 2 Kings Chapter 4. Though she was barren she was able to give birth to a son according to the word of the Prophet Elijah whose words were guaranteed by God.
There are countless couples in Manmin Central Church who conceived a baby though they hadn't been able to get pregnant even after ten or more years of marriage. A case in point, during the Two-week Revival Meeting held in 1993, dozens of couples received the blessing of conception at the same time.
By living by the word of God, showing the evidence of faith to please God and receiving the prayer from a powerful servant of God, they brought down the answers to their prayers from God.
