The 'Sharing of Love Meal' at Ida Manmin Church in Japan
On June 13th the Ida Manmin Church in Japan had an event inviting their solitary and elderly neighbors out to a celebration of the sharing of food together with a variety of performances by Kids Dance Team and Fujiki-ryu Cenbukai (Fan Dance Team), and they also shared the Gospel of the Lord. Ida Manmin Church organized the 'Volunteers' Group' with the motto "Practice the Unchanging Love of God" and received the certificate of appreciation from the city government for their dedication to social welfare through volunteer works. And they have spread the Gospel practicing the love of the Lord by holding Christmas concerts and participating in various social activities including visitations at the welfare center for the elderly.
Children and Students' Sunday School Teachers' Seminar
The Sunday School Teachers' Seminar was held under the title 'Heart' based on John 15:7 from June 15th to 17th at the fourth sanctuary of Manmin Central Church. Sunday school teachers from across the country came to this seminar and listened to the messages entitled with "How to Lead Sunday Bible Study"; "Spiritual Care"; "How to Teach Children"; "The Psychology of Children and Students in Puberty"; "A Shepherd's Heart" and "New Changes in Students". The seminar closed with a special time for renewing their dedication to the Lord.
Power Praise Season 2
This world is being flooded with mass culture that tempts people's sensuality, but here at the Manmin Central Church the grace of God was overflowing from 'GCN Power Praise Season 2' that took place on the specially fitted stage in the church's main sanctuary on June 23, 2009. The first season of GCN Power Praise was kicked off in December of 2006. The first season's twenty-five sessions were taped. The second season began filming again in August of 2008 due to the applause from not only GCN viewers, but also from many people who watched it on DVD.
