Living A long life

The children can request what they want if their parents have confidence in them. Also the parents feel pleasure and worth when they see their children grow up right and obey their teaching. Futhermore, they would want to give something better to their children.
It is said in Proverbs 3:1~2, "My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you prosperity".
Then, what is the spiritual meaning of a long life that God mentioned? First, it means that by keeping the words of God, one can feel happy and pleased in one’s heart, while one’s business goes well for a long time.
Second, when one keeps the words of God, He will protect one from any accident or danger and naturally one will live a long life.
Therefore, if we keep the words of God in our mind and act according to them, we will not only live a long life in God’s protection, but also have peace in our heart.
