Faith is the treasure of treasures, and without faith it is impossible to please God. Only when you have faith can you gain salvation, enjoy eternal life, and enter heaven. Also, you must have hope. With hope you are more likely to long for the best dwelling place in heaven and strive to become sanctified. Thus, faith and hope are necessary until you enter heaven. However, once you have entered heaven, you will need neither of them. What you need forever in heaven is love. That's why God tells us to desire love above all else. The greatest gift of gifts is unchanging, spiritual love. When you achieve such love, you can be given answers without limits.
"But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way" (1 Corinthians 12:31).
