The God of love opened the way of salvation for sinners by giving His only begotten Son Jesus, who is sinless, as propitiation. If you feel this great love of God, you cannot but cast away sins and evils that are detestable to God (1 John 5:3). Many people say they love and revere God, but they don't detest those sins and evils. They may mistakenly think they do, but they have evil in heart, see evil, say evil words, and act in evil ways. If you truly love God and have real reverence for Him, you will show the proof of the love by hating and casting off evil (Proverbs 8:13).
